(more) If the current Covid-19 Crisis has taught us anything it is this; Plan ahead! While almost no-one saw this pandemic coming, now that it is here we need to be proactive in our future crisis management planning or we will suffer the consequences.  The First Step is to identify the "Definition of a Crisis...,  "A Crisis is a specific, unexpected, and non-routine event or a series of events that create high levels of uncertainty and threaten or are perceived to threaten an organization's high priority goals" An organization includes the nuclear family structure and relationships. The Second Step is to plan ahead for potential crisis-not when the crisis hits Identify the type of Crisis you are planning to meet head-on. 1. An Incident-based Crisis, i.e A hurricane, anything that disrupts the calm of an organization or family. 2. An Issue-based Crisis, i.e. a Financial Crisis, a Reputation or Image crisis, anything that disrupts the bottom line future one that disrupts or prevents normal operations within a family or organization. The Third Step  is to identify "The Spheres" the areas of the organization or family that the crisis will affect, remembering that a crisis affects both the internal (person)  family or organization and the external (person) Family or organization. There is an old but true saying- "When you react to a situation, the results are what you get..., but when you respond to a situation the results are what you want". I noticed that you said you said that you recently lost your husband, therefore my recommendation for you to take care of yourself first. Make yourself your first priority by allowing yourself to go through the grieving process. You may wish to surround yourself with a few TRUSTED friends and or relatives, emphasis on TRUSTED, those who have your best interests at heart. I find that one of the best ways to do that is to find a Faith-Based Community who understand God's love for us- you and can share it with you on a regular basis, even weekly.  Moving forward is also important, however; ask the question; How do I  eat this elephant? (A) One bite at a time.!  Because you are starting a new chapter in your life, pause for a short period of time andwrite down on paper your Vision for the Future. What does it look like to you, be realistic but at the same time don't be afraid to be confident and bold? I think you already are. Doing that will help you "see" where you want to go next and enjoy what it is you will be doing next. Then write down your core values.    What do you really like to do? How do you like to operate, and How do you like to be treated in business and why? Next, put your core values in "rank order" (Start with 3 or 4 the most)  that will help you execute your vision, mission and what it is that you really like to do, What is on your heart to do. After identifying your Vision, Values, and Mission- dream job (Graphic Artist?) then contact your local Community College to find out if they have any courses that match your vision and mission courses that can assist you towards executing your goals to make them a reality.  God Bless You and Yours, Dave
