I am Angie Klein, owner and designer at Petals on the Trail
I started in the flower business 30 years ago, and have been either the owner, manager, designer or sales clerk all that time. We are a family run business with my mom Hilda as the accountant who bring years of banking expertise and my daughter, Tyra who is terrific with the front end. My Baby Grandson has been coming to "help"lately too.

I had been located at 11807 St Albert Trail for 9 years and have a good cliental that will follow me to my new location as well as a viable online business. In addition to our fresh flowers, we carry a local hand made eclectic mix of gift items that sell very well and have created a good market for these types of products. I have always made it my mission to include as much local /Canadian made product in my shop but have never had the space to showcase it properly, until now!
The store is 1400 sq ft with the sales floor dedicated to handmade and artisan products “Artisans Row”. The rest of the space is used as my design area and flower cooler.

I designed the new space using as much re-claimed re-cycled and re purposed items as possible and I am proud to say that 70% of the new build was not purchased from a major retailer, but rather from sources like Architectural clearing house, Habitat for Humanity, Kijiji, The re use center etc.

I was born to be a florist
Won a blue ribbon at a county fair at 12 for picking the most beautiful wild flower bouquet and had my first job in a flower shop at 16.
