I was once like you! I felt I had nothing in common with anyone. My best advise to you is to start one step at a time and just break the ice. Start by practicing on complimenting people. Find just one thing, even if its just "I like the color of your sweater," that starts small talk. Then when staring a conversation with someone listen to what they say 90% of he time you will find something you have in common with the other person. People seem to loosen up when they are complimented, because it makes them feel good so they will be more likely continue to cary on a conversation. Once you break the ice and a conversation has started you can talk about what you are there to talk about. Good Luck!
