It has been very, very difficult to make any progress on options for parking, sidewalks and repair as well as streets. We've also had pushback on things like planters, flowers, benches, lighting, attractive banners, etc that would make it more inviting for locals and visitors. I also believe we need more shops open in the evenings in order to entice visitors to shop, eat, drink and be merry : ) Golden is a great example of a thriving town in the area. Even Morrison does these things better. I also believe that the downtown would benefit from involving Evergreen businesses that are not downtown in fundraising and decision making. We all consider it our town. Too much pressure is put on only the businesses on Main St to cover the costs to provide events and services. ELF fund is great too. Too many "cooks in the kitchen" (Ross Lewis Trust, CDOT, and other property owners) that can't agree as far as the maintenance and development of downtown.

Professionals are trained and have many, many years of practice.  I taught at the college level for 15 years and just one program (like Photoshop, InDesign or Illustrator) would require a 15 week course with 2, 6 hour lab days per week plus homework assignments just to have an base level understanding. Then there were many additional courses in design or illustration that used those programs but were based on concept.  Yet, I see job postings for entry level positions where they expect someone to know design, image manipulation, coding, animation, video, prepress, printing... Like I used to tell my students, "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should".

It's easy for them to click on it to view it and then put in their credit card right then. It's a very safe way for them to pay and it's easier than writing and mailing a check. You could add processing fees so you don't lose money if you want to. I don't do that because I feel like it's a small price to pay to keep from chasing people down for money. You can also send email invoice reminders with a click of a button (it tells them how long it's been) and you can write an additional note letting them know you are a small business who depends on prompt payment.

I would say the logo should be done first and is most important for conveying your business to your target market. The website should be designed around the same concepts. As far as most important... I think it depends on your business. If you are going to provide online sales for a product then the website will be important to get money coming in the door. If you are a service business then the logo is more important and how you market your company, referrals, face-to-face appts., etc. will begin the flow of customers/income.
