About Us

I help small business owners understand how important regular bookkeeping is for their bottom line and customer satisfaction. Relieving business owners of the bookkeeping task will allow the business owner more time to run the business and pursue profits. I am a Pro Advisor for QuickBooks Online and Pro Advisor for Xero. I am also a Notary for the State of California. This firm was launched in September 2017 after spending years in Corporate America. I always had a desire to have a bookkeeping services firm to support small businesses and to help them succeed.

As a bookkeeper, I use Appointy (free version) for my online calendar; Hubdoc for easy receipt transfers; Sharefile for client portals to transfer information, G Suite (Google) for storage; MileIQ to track mileage.   There's are a ton of apps available to make work life easier - most with low costs. My suggestion is to ask the former employees why they leave. Provide an open space for them to express the reasons - without repercussions. Do the same for any current employees and be willing to make adjustments where appropriate. (more) My suggestion is to ask the former employees why they leave. If I were the CPA, I would want the Bookkeeper to keep the lines of communication open, i.e., ask the right questions to make sure the client is well- served. Ask if there is a contract for the engagement and fully understand the contents and ramifications. 2. Ask about the qualifications and professional memberships. 3. Understand what happens to the file, i.e., who owns it. 4. Know the communication process and response time you should expect. Also, ask about communication between your CPA and the bookkeeper. Both need to work together to support you well. 5. Know where the work will be done - many bookkeepers are virtual and work from home, and can support clients anywhere. Ask who will be performing the work. 6. Find out if they are keeping up with the latest technology and how it is being used; what are the software options. Xero is designed for small businesses. 7. There are more questions you could ask, but most importantly, understand what the price includes, especially when it comes to clean-up work. I always have a concern about pricing that fluctuates. You should know what to expect always. Best of luck!

As stated already, the best way to stay on top of accounting is to hire a professional who can take the day to day tasks and get them accomplished accurately. This also gives the business owner more time to run the business worry-free.
