Monica is a self-taught culinary artisan! She is a graduate of IPS School, Arsenal Technical High School where she minored in Commercial Foods. This class was literally the only school training in the culinary field she has attended. Monica is a quick study, she learns by watching and that method served her well with the advent of the Food Network Station in the early 1990's! Monica's business is in honor to her grandmother and mother who have both passed away early in their lives. Monica is proud that she named her business Ummi's Table for Ummi means "My Mother."
