I am an accidental inventor. As I was rescuing and fostering dogs, many of whom came from hoarders, shelters, or were dumped, I realized many had never had any training.
After adopting a particularly stubborn Miniature Schnauzer, I tried everything to curb her reactivity. Nothing worked. I started carrying a stun gun in case an off leash dog came up to us, as I usually had at least three dogs with me. One day in the middle of a barking frenzy, I clicked my stun gun up in the air and said "no bark" - all three dogs immediately stopped barking and sat down. I tried it with other dogs and the same thing happened.
I then decided to develop a device that would make an audible sound but would not harm a dog, another animal, or a person. This is how The Doggie Don't Device came to be. Now, I am happy to say we have helped many dogs around the world and happily donate to rescue organizations.
