About Us
Nora Scruggs McCall was a deeply religious woman, who never lost her faith that God was always in control, and that everything would work out, as it should. Even as her dementia progressed, she continued working as a volunteer grandmother. She also continued attending church services at Mount Calvary Baptist Church every weeknight and on Sundays.

I write and sell books. My first book was published in 1988. When the book is first released, my regular readers are quick to purchase it. Advertising brings in more. After the first rush, I need to do more. I have published 6 books, the latest is my first children's book.

The character decides. No matter what you have in mind for a particular character, as the story unfolds, it could take a turn that you had never thought of taking. Don't be afraid to find out where it takes you because you don't have to accept the changes.

I don't work from an outline because it doesn't play out the way the outline is written. I tried working from an outline and when the work was completed, it did not resemble anything in the outline. Let the story work and flow as it wants to, remember, you can always change it, but the character sometimes knows more than the writer knows.

I am taking comfort in editing a few short stories I have written about my childhood in Pompano. I love to snack on chocolate but my AC1 says I can't so I eat a few peanuts and walk on my treadmill.
