I'm sure the error is occurring when you download the information from your bank. How are you categorizing the deposits in the bank download? If you are choosing an income account, this is why the income is doubled. There are other ways but this is what I do with the credit card sales...create a special bank type account called Sales Clearing. After you receive the payments in QuickBooks, make the deposit to the Sales Clearing account. When the cc deposits come through the regular bank account in the download, categorize as a transfer from the Sales Clearing account. Any amounts left behind in the Sales Clearing *should* be the credit card fees. From here you can post a journal entry to move the balance from the Sales Clearing to the CC Fees expense account (debit expense account, credit sales clearing). You can see anything you posted through the bank download by going to Banking > Transactions. Select the account and then click where it says "In QuickBooks". You can undo any deposit entries you made...select them all and then click the Batch Action button and select Undo. This un-posts from your accounts and puts the transactions back in the "New Transactions" page.
