Asking for payment is always difficult and uncomfortable.  However, honesty is the best policy and I would a conversation with your clients that payment is due upon completion.  Explain that the you have business expenses as well to provide the service or product.  If they grumble about that then... (more) Asking for payment is always difficult and uncomfortable.  However, honesty is the best policy and I would a conversation with your clients that payment is due upon completion.  Explain that the you have business expenses as well to provide the service or product.  If they grumble about that then ask them gently how would they feel if they had to wait a month or two to get paid for the work they did?
