Samples are great, collecting emails to offer promotions, an open house to all the local businesses and give-away stuff, raffle join your chamber you have to do all of it
You have to get out in the community with samples. Host a taste open house and invite food critics, local event venues, wedding planners and influencers. Offer gift certificates. Host a bake off. Make sure you start now to gear up for the holidays.
Congratulations Julia! Create a Google My Business Profile, FB and IG Pages. Post content on all 3 platforms about your business including 1 offer per week. Also include a Press Release, Blog Comments and Social Signals to get your name out there. Most of these methods are free except for the Press Release and Social Signals, But they are very affordable.
All the best Julia.
Build a strategy and a go to market plan. In the strategy should be 4-5 tactics. Social media, email marketing, events, digital advertising, grass roots efforts, etc. Stick to it and do it consistently and you will win.
Personally Julia I would put together a small collection of your freshest and best products into a small basket and label the businesseswithin your immediate block.
make sure you put your flyer in the basket with your order number for them to call orders later.
Get your family to deliver them with you. Watch what happens🌝
Hello I was an executive with the Wm Wrigley company now a CPA and tax specialist and our business is a popular management consulting firm. We work with bakeries that are well established. New businesses need to take different tactics to find and attract new customers. We can do a zoom call and I can tell you more. If might save a lot of consulting fees to take a look at the new book "Entrepreneurship-Believe & Achieve" which contains strategies of identifying your target market and training in how to invite existing customers back. Then the ambition should turn to market penetration in your service area.
With it being summer (well, at least in Ohio,) a lot of local food places are showing up at festivals and fairs. Maybe there are some you can join in your area.
Determine how you are different and unique and how it separates you from your competitors
