Do you have advice on a good loyalty app to use with no pop system? Possibly just punch cards.

We use a property system for Salons/Barbershops called Vagaro. It has a nice loyalty points system that works well if you use it to check-out clients at the end of a transaction. I like their system because when you are setting up your staff access and schedules you can turn off the 3rd party and even Vagaro pop ups for the booking. We did offer a loyalty program, at our shop we utilized Vagaro for booking appointments and square for point of sale and our individual business cards had the simple boxes on the back for putting a checkmark for points. It worked for us for about 5 years but we have now phased out the loyalty/rewards program

I use plastic gift cards with prices on them (example $5,$10,$15,$20) which I don't swipe, every 5 points which is $10 if they don't want to use them I exchange it for the new amount. easy way to reuse without paying a fee to card company. They can be used for monthly special on supplies or services or they can give them to a new client for $5.00 off first time in, I find they are used more as a discount for their service makes them feel special when I ring them up and they see $10 off their service. I use square but find they want a % for loyalty program most do, you can by pass this way, I also do my gift cards the same way I collect add the number to notes recycle the card and don't swipe it. Punch cards take your time and can't be re used.

I use punch cards, I just started using a pos system.

We ordered Vistaprint business cards on the front and 5 large stars on the back and use a special shaped, colored stamp. We chose 5 visits of $25+ and then give a cash off reward. I never liked having to get a massage 10 times just to get a discount, so we chose 5 visits. Our customers love it, but some forget to keep their card in their wallet when they return.

We use punch cards (just initial box). After five we offer a basic service free and when they reach ten return visits we offer them a higher level of service free. You can use service or retail item for the reward for return visits. It has been received very well by our clients. The key is to get your clients back into your salon and the punch card is a great incentive to return visits. Everyone like to get something for free and this is a cheap way to do it. Even when they come in for there free service there is an opportunity to up-sell to add on another service while they are there. Our client seem to really like the idea.

My client's often lost they're punch cards. So I keep track for them in my client files. They love the surprise when I tell them that they have a discount or a product gift.

I did see a punch card app but can't remember the name. There are probably several. Search in your app store.
