Do you think "Paying For Likes" will increase your overall social media purpose?
A lot of people feel victim of thinking that if they simply pay for likes that their social media pages would get better results and it appears they are discovering that is not true at all. What do you guys think?

Only if you think that paying for sex willmake you more sociable
Paying for likes, is fruitless. It makes, it look like you are successful, but the transfer into paying customers will not happen. I found when I tried it many of the likes were from different countries that would not even be able to purchase my product.
I would rather have one like that is profitable than 1000 likes that were not.
No. Paying for likes is a total waste of $. Why? Because there is no direct ROI. And because with new release of algorythms, your organic posts no longer reach your audience. A better strategy is to start a group, or use paid traffic. However both require advanced skills! To start a group you need to get people to join! To use paid traffic, you need to understand how to target, and optimize your ads, plus set up landing page, thank you page, split tests and more. We add automatic text messages for new leads, other integrations, auto email follow ups, chat bots and messenger and a host of tech items that most small business owners do not have time to learn and train to do properly, and therefore the result is wasted $ and a leaking funnel. The first thing I tell any client is "dont waste your hard earned ad $ paying for likes". Hope this helps!
Gaming any algorithm for visibility or perceived status in a black or grey hat manner is always a bad idea. It doesn't create interaction nor real engagement as it will only draw the attention of those not interested in you, your services , content etc.
You are not paying for "likes". You are promoting your brand to build awareness (likes & followers) and create purchase consideration (advertising, content boosting, referrals). This is what brand building is all about. Regardless if you use traditional marketing or today's Social Marketing. Only the tools are different.
I do not recommend to pay for 'likes'. You want a geniune account and all you are doing is adding fluff when you pay for 'likes'. Part of what you are looking for when you build likes and followers is having a larger audience to share your message with. If you do this with fake people, it doesn't do anything for your business. You can do a Like Campaign in Facebook for little $ and get better results. Feel free to reach out if you need help. We work with businesses of all sizes.
As a band, obviously we 'operate' a little differently than a normal business, though, we have to "self -promote", we have to have a "solid" product", ect. To answer your question, even if our SOUNDCLOUD acct. literally "blew up" with "LIKES" and "LISTENS", record A&R people don't really take it into acct at all. I could sit and hit "LIKE" and rotate the songs to amp up the listener totals for the week and month....heck, I could even program a bot to keep playing the songs every minute of the day, it doesn't matter. If respected by your peers, and have a good customer base, I think it is redundant and a waste of money. As I always comment, FACEBOOK is not a site for business! It is a social networking site....a time killer and glorified message interface. I don't believe it is worth actually "paying" for likes, its a false sense of customer satisfaction, and a false way to show people how much you (or your business) is apparently "liked"....

I think "likes" and "shares" amount to what traditional advertising firms such as print media, radio and TV would call "top of mind awareness". They pitch that as one of the main benefits of their services. Digital marketing is often held to a higher standard of delivery, many clients expect to see a correlation between their spend and actual sales from the campaign.
Paying for likes is a complete waste of money. The number of likes your page has does nothing for your engagements and THAT is what drives social media, being SOCIAL.
Facebook's algorithm has changed immensely especially for business pages. The likelihood of your posts or content being seen by your target audience organically, has dropped since the beginning of 2018. The goal of social media marketing is to make sure that your message is distributed to the right people. Paying people to like your page is NOT the answer but paying for engagement, traffic and impressions on your content works wonders. It's not just a matter of paying 2 dollars for 10 people from all over the world to see your page, it's paying 2 dollars to target a specific location, interest, job description, etc. to see what your business has to offer.
