Have you created an app as a way for clients to interact with your business?

If your company has an app, do your clients engage, and what benefits do they get from using it?

Yes I use Thryv and the software is simple and allows me to run my business from my phone. This saves me time and money. Features include: Full CRM, social media management, text and email marketing, payments, invoices and estimates, review generation, calander, automated campaigns , VIP campaigns, and so much more. Makes me very efficient and easy for my clients to do business with me! Let me know if you would like to talk

It depends on the level of customer service you want to provide your customer and if additional communication techniques will bring more revenue.  Instead of using an app we install automated software in businesses to interact witch customers.  For example when you bring your car in for service, you will receive text messages on the status of your car, so you will know when it is ready for pickup.  If someone browses your website, you can chat with them to answer questions that could lead to a possible sale.  My favorite is using my business land line number to send text messages, instead of using a cell phone number.  This is great for appointment reminders and auto replies.  My church gives out free food to the community several times a month.  People used to call in to listen to a message for the next food distribution date.  Now they text the word “Food” to the church phone number and a text message will be sent to them with the date.  We need to adjust our communication techniques to how our customers communicate to capture a broader audience. The technology is here today to automate any business.

Our app, SmallGyfts, has three different client groups: Shoppers, Businesses and Nonprofits.

Shopper use the app to find, businesses, deals and nonprofits near them. They can check into a business to track the rewards they’ve earned, select a nonprofits they want to support and redeem SmallGyfts donation gift cards for their favorite cause. They can also track all the businesses they’ve interacted with and how much they’ve help to raise for their cause.

Businesses use the app to setup promotional incentives to attract local shoppers and rewards for their customer to keep them coming back. They can offer their customers SmallGyfts donation gift cards as a way of attracting new customers from nonprofits who direct their supporters to their business. SmallGyfts is a structured approach for giving back that allow their customers to pick the causes they care about and earn these SmallGyfts, $1 to $5, for shopping at their business. Business can see who are their customers, how frequently they are checking in and then send targeted promotional emails to draw them back in. They can also see how much they’ve given back to their customers’ causes and track how giving back is helping their businesses.

Nonprofits can use the app to list their organization and raise money for their cause. They can earn donations, year round, from businesses that are giving back by encouraging their supporters to shop with these businesses. SmallGyft is like AmazonSmile, but for local businesses. They will discover new supporters; people that are helping to raise donations and businesses that are giving back. The more people that pick their cause and shop with local businesses that use the program, the more money they can raise.

SmallGyfts - Boost your sales, attract new customers and make a positive difference in your community.

We offer it for those for whom it makes their life simpler.  They still know they can call, but some people like the ease of this when they are in a hurry or at an hour they know they can't reach us.  It should not replace a person being available but adds another arena for those who appreciate this.

Not for my business, but as a digital marketing professional, I have helped a few clients who did create an app to communicate with customers. I have to say that in each case it made sense for them to have an app. As a general rule, it's great to offer an app when customers use it to facilitate some sort of account management (or process management) and communications. I don't think it's necessary for pure communications. We have tons of other tools we can use to communicate - from email, to social and messengers, to texts and phone calls. Whether or not you need an app is a matter of your brand strategy.

Welcome Wagon came out with a partner’s dashboard this past May. It is a place for a partner to see how many people have received our printer product, the reach and engagement of our social media product and the number of emails that are sent out on a monthly basis. A partner can also contact any division of Welcome Wagon corporate through the dashboard, pay their bill, really any interaction with Welcome Wagon corporate can be done from that page.  Welcome Wagon came out with a partners dashboard this past May.
