Health is vitally important for professionals and business owners. What do you incorporate into your life to maintain health and wellness?

Visiting various networking groups, I encounter many professionals that "switch off" when I start discussing the benefits of massage. I get the sense the prevailing attitude with massage is it is a luxury item that does not fit into the professional agenda. I could not disagree more. Being sick costs money, missed appointments, lost sales, and absence from the office. What is your "stay healthy" game plan? Hint - managing stress levels can have a huge impact on your overall well-being!

As business owners we cant afford to be sick

Taking a proactive approach to your health is good for you, your family and your business.

Health is livng with intention in everything we do. You cant be at the top of your game

fitness health and or wellness is being physically fit and emotionally strong .

Discipline,focus perserverence,leadership

Are a few words that come to mind. As it relates to your health and health of your business .

Racquetball. As you get better at it, it quickly becomes the most solid hour of exercise you will ever experience. An hour goes by and you realize, "Oh yeah, I'm exercising" but you had so much fun the whole time. Young and old can play it and a lot of rec centers have courts so it's cheap and you can play for years and years and never get bored of it.

Great question! Understanding that health is wealth, it's very important that I incorporate healthy choices throughout my days and nights. As a Certified Health Coach, I am a walking billboard, but what's really important is that I truly enjoy living a healthier lifestyle and inspiring others to do the same. The foods that are introduced to my body are foods of gratitude that my body thanks me daily. I also use Essential Oils as well.

That is such a great question!  For myself, I do Self-healing with Reiki, a regular practice of meditation, exercise, mindful of diet, massage and anything that I need to maintain and carry out my self-care.  I  have learned many years ago it is not worth it to ignore yourself and your health.  It will end up in sickness, illness or disease if we do not address all aspects of self.

My morning routine is so valuable to my health.  When life is hectic it's easy for me to scrap my morning routine.  What happens then is the rest of the day kinda tanks.  It's not that noticeable the first day, but if I don't rebound and get back on track quickly it affects me mentally and physically.

What I incorporate into my life on a regular basis to maintain health and wellness is a morning ritual I do before anything else.

1) First and foremost I start my day with meditation. Just a simple awareness practice of focusing on my breathing sensations as I ground my awareness fully into my whole body, leaving me feel absolutely full of vital life force energy through every part of me.

2) Part way through this meditation I switch it to focusing on all the things I am grateful for in my life. I bring the image of these experiences into my imagination to allow the feeling sensations to permeate deeper into my subconscious mind leaving me feeling really

inspired to look at life in a more positive way that allows more experiences that I appreciate to enter my outlook for the day.

3) I then contemplate what I want to achieve for the day with clear intentions while I imagine the details and all the people involved are filled with bright light, smiles of happiness, and finish it off with imagining seeing myself at the end of the day reflecting back on just how amazing my day was, and how complete I feel before I go to bed.

I find that when I do this my day is always better and way more amazing synchronicities happen... or through the days with big challenges I am always better at confidently navigating through what ever happens with a good feeling of accomplishment. On the rare, but sometimes days when I do not do this morning ritual, I never feel as good during my day regardless with what happens.

posture restoration, adjustments.. nutrition,, neurofeedback.. and relaxing on weekends.. to start

As a health and wellness coach, staying healthy is a huge part of my life. I couldn't agree more that self-care, (and I consider massage therapy self-care), is extremely important to a persons overall wellness and well-being. I think it is every bit as important as going to the gym or getting regular exercise and a healthy diet.

My stay healthy game plan includes a healthy diet, exercise, drinking plenty of water to stay hydrated, self-care to manage stress and essential oils. I use them to help with emotional wellness and also physical wellness. I clean my home and office with them in order to keep those places clean in a non-toxic way.

As part of my wellness plan, I see my chiropractor and my massage therapist regularly.

Stress management is definitely key! You can have a wonderful lifestyle and an incredibly healing clean diet but if you are stressed out with work, relationships, beliefs, timing whatever! You are going to get sick. Massage therapy is wonderful self-care but yes, I believe it is considered a luxury. Maybe not in everyone's self-care budget.

I incorporate walking as a way of transportation from building to building. I usually try to achieve 5+ miles a day along with my daily weightlifting. In addition, meal preparation and getting proper sleep are priorities at maintaining my own fitness lifestyle.
