I am a doctor. There is no way that anyone even KNOWS for certain that these cases are Delta Variant. The PCR test does not distinguish. I also want to know exactly how many of the positive test results are indicative of actual symptomatic cases before I lose my mind. We just DON'T know because we are never told. All we hear is 'cases.'
We had an outbreak of supposed 'cases' last August at my business. All but two of my employees tested positive and were classified as 'cases' by the Health Department. We were part of the statistics. Only ONE employee was symptomatic. I know this is not necessarily representative, but what IS? We DON'T know.
We are not being given enough information to intelligently make decisions and it really makes me mad. All we are told is how many people are testing positive. Not how many are really sick.
I am NOT saying no one is getting sick. What I AM saying is that we have NO clue how many are actually getting sick and how many are just testing positive. Until I KNOW that this is a true epidemic of actual illness and not just positive test results, I will not worry about it. I have plenty of other things to worry about.
Not going to over-react. Not even sure why I answered this poll, it's just as ridiculous as the fear factor. Let's just do our job's and solve some REAL problems.
Over 99% who get the virus recover. So I’m not doing anything any different
Case fatality rate is now less than .5% in Ohio. That number doesn't count anyone who hasn't been tested so of course it is actually lower. STOP THE INSANITY.
Why aren't the politicians more concerned with immigrants bringing the Virus to us. Everyone we talk to about it is sick of it.
I don’t worry about things like this. It’s similar to common flu. Always a different variant there too.
if you stay healthy and stop listening to the news all day. You will be fine.
We are requiring masks at all times whether vaccinated or not, requiring vaccination or weekly testing for all staff, interns and volunteers and maintaining all the extra cleaning, social distancing and HEPA filters. We are a social service agency and have been open for in person services since July 2020 with no cases of Covid contracted from our programs or services. Delta is a big concern for us since we serve people who are blind. They are not able to see if someone is masked or 6 feet away.
I think we have bigger worries than the delta variant!
Although I work from home, when I must meet with clients face to face, I try to socially distance. I sanitize my hands constantly. My kids and I have all gotten our second shots. We wear masks. I do not have life insurance and have very little, high deductible health insurance. I cannot afford to be down with the virus. We live hand to mouth. What will happen if I one of us gets it and is hospitalized? We cannot afford huge hospital bills or my death. It would leave the boys homeless and in foster care. I wish anti-vaxers would understand that. It's not always rights. It's about life.
Death rate in NH is less than .5% for those under 70. That includes all deaths; people with co-morbiditie. I truly do not understand the madness.
