to me, Twitter is like throwing mud against the wall hoping it will stick. But depends on what type of business you are though.  One of my clients - a Hotel - is getting lots of new business from Twitter.

I have had success before with Twitter, it takes a lot of being proactive as well as understanding your followers. I feel like it's about being intentional. Once a week I go through twitter a look to see what is happening.

Hello Dan, As per my current knowledge Twitter works great to communicate to new people one-on-one, which starts through placing or receiving comments. For your tweets to be found you can use hashtags (#) to place your content into fitting information streams, however, to be seen it's helpful to be active to an extend as it perhaps is for most social media platforms.

Twitter works for lead gen but my preference is local since I’ve found that to be more effective.

Twitter can work great for lead generation. Campaigns we worked on targeted predefined valuable prospects, w/ calls to action. Supported by a branded landing page to schedule time directly w/ client and/or join mailing lists. Twitter campaigns really need to be planned and thought out before executing.

Not on Twitter.  Have not seen the use for this yet.
