Backlinking is very time consuming.

Outside of standard business listings and community links, you really need to create quality content that people will want to link to. Usually because the topic is relevant, and it is well written and researched. Then do outreach to make your content known.

You could also start by finding resources that are looking for people to provide content (in your niche), and reach out to do guest posts. Which it looks like you're already providing on for others on your site.

If you don't have a budget, but have the time, you can get a lot of free information on building backlinks from backlinko.com.

If you have the budget (White Hat) SEO companies that provide backlinking are great way to go. With these services you're paying for their time to do backlinking correctly. Companies that can build you backlinks will use tools such as ahrefs or semrush to identify the best opportunities.

Never pay for the backlink itself. In the short term you may get a boost, but it will do long term damage to your site, potentially permanent damage.

I assume your ultimate goal is SEO (search engine optimization) if you're looking to build backlinks. I'd start by focusing on content creation. Your site is currently a Page Authority and Domain Authority of 1.

Dedicate (or hire) someone that can provide you with longer and more consistent content than you currently have, on topics that will provide the best results (traffic).

To achieve this they should use tools/methods such as Google trends, and Google suggestions to find topics to write about. There are also paid tools such as semrush and buzzsumo.

Once you have great content, people are looking for, then you can focusing on getting people to link to it through outreach. Everyone wants backlinks, you need to separate yourself from them. Develop enough traffic and people will be reaching out to you.

I'd also recommend to enhance the effectiveness of your blog that you use lead magnets and other methods to capture user information and add them to a newsletter.

Hope some of that information helps.

  • an incoming hyperlink from one web page to another website.
  • "the more backlinks you have pointing back to your site, the more popular it will be"

In essence, backlinks to your website are a signal to search engines that others vouch for your content. If many sites link to the same webpage or website, search engines can infer that content is worth linking to, and therefore also worth surfacing on a SERP

You mean web site links? I would use only links that make sense but limit them. Use links associated with your business regarding instructions, etc.

I'll be blunt. Backlinks right now aren't going to do much for your SEO game. Your website is very far out of date. First thing you need to do is get it updated. Don't do a website in a box like Wix or any of those things, hire an agency to do it. They'll do it right and build it for now and the future. Once your website is up to date and you have the foundational SEO factors dealt with, then deal with backlinks. You can hire us if you like, however I found an agency in your area that looks like they're pretty good.

Once you get to backlinks, become part of an association, get into the local chamber of commerce, see if suppliers will set up backlinks, see if you can write some blogs for local bloggers, get local media to do some articles, etc. There's a ton of stuff you could do. My first question is why do you need backlinks? What are your goals? Where is your geographical market? Backlinks are good, yes, however they're not a cure-all and they may not be as important as you might thing.

    don’t I understand your question.

    Keith,

I have an Search Engine Optimization (SEO) company doing it for my business.

    Best,

    Steven

    Can you please define Backlinks

Do not go to fiverr,.. they will use a link farm that will boost your rankings temporary, but googles algorithms have changed and you will be penalized and your rankings will drop faster then they went up,.. and the guy from fiverr will disappear and you will be stuck cleaning this mess up. Hire an SEO expert,.. not from fiverr. I can recommend one i use,.. very happy with results

Before working on backlinks, i would update the website. Right now it is not mobile friendly. In order to get quality backlinks you need a quality website and quality content. Otherwise they will not link to you.
