I have at least 6 pages I created with my profile in Facebook from group page, community page, marketing etc. With creating each one and going thew the settings to each one I get a weekly report on them all. In that weekly report it will show when people are mostly on at the time of posting or in social media sites. This of course is drawn out to sometimes the settings you have in place such as the age group area gender etc.
From the social media sites I am in, these details are avaible in all of them that I am in, keep in mind this is a rough time, from mine I noticed it started at 6 am and peaked during the mid day and ended about 9 pm or 10 pm, so for me I would start posting from 7 am to 9 pm , it also shows the days of the week as well to giving an idea the days that most are on at that time as well.
When asked I tell people post often threw out the day and if your able to getting a report more so those that use it the way I do for business then you all would see this report, you can adjust where needed meaning do month to month view to get an idea of the over all months. As each person will be different and there is no real time frame ,,, Remember TIME is the essence of all things, and with that time everyone is doing something with that time and when there able to getting on social media sites,, So in short it is all about the TIMING .
The reason is clear - the more you post the more people see your content. Right now, for organic reach, only about 7% of your followers on a site like Facebook will see your posts. You can share to groups and on your timeline, but still, it's not the same as being an active contributor to your community. Engagement builds a stronger profile and offers insight to your prospective clients as they move through the buyer's journey.
