We are still having issues with hiring employees. We have spent thousands in advertising for them. We received two responses last year!
That’s sad.

Getting businesses to advertise on the radio station since covid has been very difficult. I am having trouble paying for the expenses to operate. In April I will start getting my SSI, then it should be fine. Today my station is off air. I have to come up with enough money to pay for internet. I am pretty sure I will get it back on Monday, Jan. 3rd 2022. I hope everyone has a great year this year.
Customer s don’t want to pay after you do the work and they are up and working but 5-6 months getting to fight for payment hurts small business
Cash flow is not good. My sales are B2B, unlike retailers who are B2C. In December, no one was buying because they were busy with the holidays and holiday sales, and their budgets reset in January. Two of the weeks, no one was even talking or answering the phone. I am hoping that January will be better. I start calling Tuesday morning. So we will see.
We are so thankful for how our business has been doing through this pandemic, we do our best to support local when we can and encourage our employees to as well, it has been a tough go to continue being strong and showing the happy side , we are lucky to have great employees, we surely appreciate what some business owners are facing through all of this turmoil and hope that 2022 is the year we all come roaring back reguards Blair
Sales during the holidays were pretty good, not as good as 2020, but enough to keep the store going. My landlord has lowered the rent during COVID which helps, but has informed me that it will go up again. Many of the customers that shop in the store were from other states and countries due to the social media marketing I do for the store. During COVID there are much fewer visitors to San Francisco and fewer that shop in the store. If the Pandemic restrictions improve, I think the store sales will increase, but so will the rent, so it is hard to predict the future. Just taking it one day at a time. This will be the 46th year for Gaslight & Shadows Antiques on Clement Street in San Francisco. I opened the store in 1976 when I was a young girl. I feel grateful for every extra day or year the store can remain open. Best Wishes to all of us for 2022. We add the flavor and color to all of our cities.

Cash flow is going good and just finalizing my plans & budgets for 2022.
I made too many mistakes early on, and have been playing catch-up since. I am not good at sales.
Always looking for local paid gigs. I am still open to do a few for free if it leads to paid gigs. Seems everyone seems to think I sing for fun...not just that $$$ does make a difference. lol
