Business is great. A/R is very slow.
Looking to switch to a new model. Where they pay upfront of retainer .
It hasn’t worked for our business but I’m still hoping.
Graphic design freelancing can be very lucrative, and it can also be challenging to find new work/clients and keep cash flowing. Even with my 25+ years as an experienced professional designer, it's not easy by any means. I'm looking to help people and businesses build their image and brand through effective visual communications, shelf popping packaging design, memorable brand imagery and story telling, and good old fashioned customer service.
Cash flow will depend on the number of customers who will book services with me. With covid numbers so high right now I am sure this will reflect on how often customers will want spa services. Like all businesses I am taking every precaution to keep myself, my family and my clients safe. Some supplies are difficult to get as they are on a ship on the ocean somewhere. Fingers crossed 2022 will be a good year.
I had to make some changes in the way that I send an invoice to those clients that own me money. For that reason, I have a temporary hold on the funds in my paypal account.
There is a huge marketplace worldwide which has been good for us. One should always think beyond the local market and shoot for the world. No need to limit ones self.
Have to get some slow payers to pay up. Business is picking up so should bring stronger cash balance.
My year end business slowed significantly. As the real estate market resettles itself in early 2022, i expect business to return to normal.
I was persistent enough to start my business in the middle of the pandemic with no guidance or support. It was quite difficult as most of my services are offered in-person or involve light touch, and I do not have my own physical location to operate out of, making it more difficult to be known/found.
Despite those challenges, I have been incredibly grateful that my business has been able to sustain itself this entire time. While I predict this year may be more difficult, I am determined to push through. My hope is to finally provide myself a paycheck and continue to evolve my business.
I will be adding tangible products soon, so I am interested to see how that will impact things!
