There is some training available for a mortgage lender. When I got into the business I used a company called "Xinnix New Loan Officer Training" (Google it). Not very many people actually get training and it isn't cheap but I thought it was well worth it. I feel it put me two to three years ahead of someone that would have started my position without any training and learned as they went.Other than that maybe starting as an assistant to learn the business may also work.

Companies generally provide guidance for new loan officers, Homestar uses in-house training and Xinnix Ground School and Flight School. I also took Encompass software 101 and 102 courses, they are free. Branch mangers and mentors are the best way to get off the ground.

LO Training is usually provided by the Lender that hired you.  If none is provided, the best way to learn is to start out as an LO Assistant until you are able to get your own clients and you have a pretty good knowledge of the job requirements and experience.

Loan Officer School

This is a great resource. After that, you need to be mentored by someone that has massive experience in lending. There really is no other way.
The training available in Canada is different than in the United States.  I would look at The Mortgage Marketing Animals, they have programs for Mortgage Officer in the U.S.

United Wholesale Mortgage offers LO training.

If you are signed up with them just reach out to your Account Executive.

There are not very many training platforms for new loan officers. Here are a couple you might take a look at:

Xinnix.com, also find an LO who will mentor you

the best way I believe to train in the business is after all of the classes and tests and reading reading reading, a new loan officer needs to "shadow" a mentor/experienced loan officer for up to 6 months.

Various lenders have training for their loan programs, I suggest you contact them.
