Word of mouth is always best, but it takes time to build. Join a networking group like Master Networkers or BNI. Some chamber of commerce groups can be a good source of referrals. You need to develop relationships with referral partners who work in the trades like plumbers, HVAC, painters etc.

There are so many great resources here on Alignable, but the best starting point is within your local community. People will always want to learn more, so a website is essential. Grab your domain name ASAP (focuselectricalsolutions.com is currently available). Work with a local web developer/builder who knows your area/market.
As Jodi says, clearly communicate who your preferred customer is and what you offer that will solve their problem(s). (Are you commercial, home, installer, distributor, sales, repairs, etc.? Do you have a minimum job you will accept?)
Make sure your business description is consistent across all services/platforms. Claim your Google My Business (if you haven't done so).
These are starting points to help whomever you choose to assist you.
I did a quick google search on your business. Marketing is all about putting your name out there in a positive manner. We both are in rather niche markets and with this we might not get customers immediately. But, the more customers become aware of who you are, if they need a certain job done, you want them to remember you from a certain campaign and this is when you have earned their business. I could not find a Website for your Business, so I would definitely start there. Creating a Website with an easy to follow format will go a long way in building trust with your customer. I see you are on Facebook now but being more active and using better keywords in posts can attract more customers. I would also recommend putting a link to your site or Facebook on your Alignable count as well for easier access.
I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any other questions. Would be happy to help!
You have to be on the internet Google is what Yellow Pages was in the past and is expensive. word of mouth and referrals are great but takes to long to grow. you have to show up wherever possible on the web and have trucks that look good and easy to see. Facebook can help and you can target your advertising there no use showing up outside your market area.
Our local Chamber of Commerce and BNI chapter have been great resources for networking & marketing in our area. Alignable and Facebook give a boost of traffic to our company website. Our office assistant uses the phone directories from the Chamber of Commerce to build a list of businesses to invite to become new clients. I drop off our business cards wherever possible and flyers of about any ongoing deals. Eventually, this all helps to build up our positive reputation in the community and drive new business.
Word of mouth is a great way to earn business, but one way to supplement that is through growing your online presence. I'd be happy to hop on the phone and explain what we could offer in terms of seo (search engine marketing) or websites if that is of interest to you. I could even do a brief ranking audit of any current site for free. Let me know if you'd be interested in that.
As business consultants... for the entire business... we often pull people back. Marketing without a strategy that fits the entire business is a waste of money.
Marketing tends to mask business issues that are killing the business. Fix the business, then change the marketing. Selling a business that is functioning poorly is poor business.
I owned a large ad agency at one time and I saw this mistake too often. People are under the illusion that they need more marketing and without creating a full business & marketing strategy, you are wasting your money.
Networking groups. I’ve found the ones with the best ROI are the non-membership fee based groups where you pay a small fee around $10 at each meeting you attend (usually includes a meal). Usually morning meetings work best for me.
For me it has always been word of mouth. I do have a website and a company Facebook fan page that I post articles, specials and current updates. I also am on LinkedIn and post articles there too.

Check for a chapter in your area. We've had great referrals with Realtors, Architects, other contractors, etc.
