Does anyone have an uplifting story about Indianapolis?
With all the negative news, I'd love to hear positive stories or shout-outs about people or business owners who've risen to the challenge or gone above and beyond for others.

I’m in commercial real estate, and as you can imagine there are many businesses who are struggling with rent. Today I had a call from a local businesswoman who wanted to pay the rent for another business who was behind with their rent. Within an hour the payment was deposited and the outstanding balance was paid in full! It reminded me what a joy it is to give...and paying it forward can be in so many forms.

These are being done via phone calls and emails. We are getting a very good response from our members.

... As President of the Decatur Central Lions Club, I know all the good that the Club does for the community... But our primary source of funding (spring carnival) has been shut down by COVID-19. In order to replace that income, we are trying to send the message of, "We Are in this Together" with our yard signs. We are trying not to focus on the elevated need that the pandemic will cause and move forward with a positive message while trying to raise funds to help our community. If you would like to see what we are doing (and maybe even partner with us), follow this link... www.DCLions.org
By happenstance, my wife and business partner, Alicia, and I were on a cross-country road trip when the pandemic began to spread across the country. Despite the challenges we faced, we were able to visit family in LA and made it safely back to Indy "un-infected".
This article describes the cascading effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on our 4,500-mile drive to LA from Indianapolis and back.

I was so worried about my bar being closed and how bad things are gona be. So... I packed up my stuff 2 weeks ago and have been in Florida at the beach ever since. I'm not coming back till it's over. It's way to depressing in indy. Same thing is going on here but just don't seem as bad an depressing. And the temps are a hell of a lot nicer. Wish I had more money to spend. I would recommend if anybody has a place to go then get outa town for awhile. A change makes a world of difference. I want MY BARBACK
