What are are you selling? When i owned my saltwater coral business, i started a sales page. We did what we called "live sales" once a month where we would post items at a discount and the first one to comment mine or take, would get the product. It was HUGE, we would do anywhere from 70-100k during these sales. We did lots of give aways and only advertised on FB. When done right, FB can be a gold mine.
Actually I get almost all of my leads from Facebook. I go to the Groups, offer advice in the niche I am working in and get to know people. I discover what they need and if it is what I have offer I have a great prospect. ( And sometimes they have something for me) I also found a simple company that provide tons of training, give you free autoresponders, unlimited lead capture pages , email programs, and much more. This is not an advertisement. Just suggestion that if you are trying to do it all on your own it can be really difficult and frustrating. There are many resources to teach you so you do not have to make all the mistakes that the professionals have already figured out.
The most consistent strategy I've heard yet, even better than running facebook ads, is to start a facebook group. After lurking on about 30 high volume groups for a few months, I started my own group. You have to really work it and admittedly I have been more focused on some other things. So, it's a slow grower. But, I have to admit. When I make a post to that group, nearly every member "sees" the post and a much higher percentage of viewers than my profile page or business page contributes to the post. Do I get leads from it? Every once in a while. But, that's just because it's a small and new group. As the months go by, I'm confident I will have a more "auto-pilot" leads generator through facebook. A lot of it has to do with what you name the group. So, research hard before starting your group.
One of the best ways to gain referrals through a simple facebook page is by using contests and giveaways.
1) Create a giveaway/contests on your facebook page with a link to a landing to collect information (name, email address, phone number)
2) The giveaways must be valuable, something related to your product or service or the most valuable part of your offering. (at least $100 or more in value)
3) Be sure to make a big deal of the winner. It helps build excitement for your company.
4) Offer special discounts and exclusive offers to the giveaway/contests entrants through your follow up campaign. (email, phone, text, etc.)
I use LinkedIn for networking, referrals and advertising! I have found it to be a GREAT way to connect with different people in different industries. I have a process in which I do connect with someone, where I message them and introduce myself and leave the FINAL choice to connect to them. It has been a HUGE success!
You might want to consider using different platforms to build referrals and find out which ones work and which ones do not work. I can tell you this. Alignable is one of my favorite platforms. Ask yourself some questions. One. Is the platform you are using being picked up by search engines and is it being indexed?
Actually I have been using a Leads system has tools like autoresponders and lead capture pages and unlimited web site to help you market your services. However the Best tools that I thought of when I saw your note is the training. The have a fantastic array of FREE training that is very heavily weighed towards marketing Facebook and LinkedIn, both. I just finished the Linkedin Quickstart and just would a couple of ideas I now have over 5,000 warm leads to beocme referrals. Let me know if you are information in more information and I will email it to you.
Facebook works! Here´s what I did. I created 12 FB pages of commercial real estate in Miami, Florida and now we have over 12,000 members. We periodically add our listings, economic news about our industry, and this has resulted in us receiving a constant flow of referrals from local agents that do not do commercial real estate all FOR FREE!!! That´s why I´ve trying to create a commercial real estate page here on alignable to help customers find us quicker and two help residential agents find referral partners that will help their commercial clients find properties. That´s why Facebook works.
Stop guessing and plan your business marketing methodically. First, create a marketing campaign strategy: Answer these questions - 1) Who are your customers? 2) Where do they go to get the information your service provides? 3) How to reach them. and 4) marketing budget - determine how much you should invest to acquire one additional customer (AKA customer acquisition cost)
Once you know the answers to #1 and #2 (customer interviews and survey can help you identify and narrow your target audience.) then you can identify the right digital platform and sales channel mix to spend your marketing budget.
Today, Digital channels are the most effective way to reach consumers, however, your customers maybe visiting other channels, you must find out where. (Hint: find out where your most successful industry leader is placing their digital ads, place your advertisements next to theirs, it's called Anchoring ads). Start experimenting with a multiple platforms with minimum dollar amounts and check the outcome, Yelp is a good place to start for local businesses but FB has more sophisticated digital marketing tools.
Well, It is been four months since we started our business and we are trying to get everything possible we can do for brand awareness. I have try getting referral through LinkedIn and Facebook. So far no luck. Facebook, have boosted ADs but not receiving great response. I know we provide great service with our products and once people knows it is going to be great. Meantime, if anyone else has great idea who would like to share how to get more leads, it will be greatly appreciated.
