There is a lot of great information here! One thing we did when we were expanding is what we called "Ambassador Parties." We hosted an initial party and invited influential and affluential friends of House of Hope. We then asked them to host parties as House of Hope Ambassadors, inviting people in their circles. The parties could be as large or small and anything from a Sunday tea to cocktail party on a Friday to dinner parties, etc. We would go and share our mission, impact, future plans, and answer questions. It was a great (and fun!) way to get the word out about House of Hope, make new connections, and get to know our community. We ended up with a lot of new supporters as a result! Best of luck!

I would also agree to use the free tools first like social media. Everyone involved with the organization should be tapping their networks to benefit the organization.
Social media. If you have a Facebbook page this would be a great start. Our Chamber has increased its membership x3 because of our post on our facebook page. We like to keep the community and our small businesses informed on the latest news in our area and we promote them on a regular bases. Find information for the people you are trying to target and come up with some slogan to entice them to want to join. Ex: "Semmes Chamber: Our Members are Our Business"

At Siam a operation volunteer the American Cancer Society I focus on the making strides Against Breast Cancer Walk. How I do it is I have previous list of does it sign up and I contact them and ask him to sign up for this year. That is for teams. Then I go and I work with businesses and grow their strengths by sharing how by sponsoring that will also help their businesses. It is an ongoing thing that never ends and it's great because with the team we have behind us a committee of strong cancer survivors and those that are part of our community we are able to reach our goal. You need to have a plan statistic plan that you will be able to see what month you do what are you going to go and how are you going to do it a lot of planning.
