Since we do a lot of group cruises for clients, we try, at least once a year to invite the group participants, along with any friends or co workers they have that might be interested in cruising, vacationing, etc. with the help of an agency that charges no fees to our clients. That usually results in not only some new individual clients, but also some new group possibilities.

Additionally, we stay in constant touch with our clients throughout the booking and preparation for travel. Many times, when someone books a special vacation trip or cruise, they will tell friends and family, so we're a natural recommendation for them.

I still haven’t found the best practices yet but just a few ideas to attract local customers would be to wear branded clothing and a business name tag just about everywhere that you go...Dr’s office, supermarkets etc.  Use car magnets if you can’t have your vehicle wrapped. Use Window hangers on the vehicles to display flyers and business cards.  Leave personalized magazines in local  stores.  Advertise in a well distributed free magazine.  Get those testimonies from your clients and use them.  Finally, we all have to chat it up!

Get out and talk to people. Let them get to know you and who you are. Get involved with your community.

For me, I belong to a networking group in my local community and I get business from them as well from their associates and clients.  I find that word of mouth is the best way to get quality clients

all previous replies to you are very helpful..

I'm a part of BNI group as well as a couple of chambers of commerce. My business comes mostly from referrals from clients and business colleagues. I do Facebook ads and promotions during slow periods. I do a lot of small events that get my face and my card out there.

Networking and face to face meeting. People are buying the peace of mind you show them. Be active on social media to increase followers showing that you're human and have fun. Get more reviews from your current clients on your social media and Google page. Hope this helps you. Peace and Blessings.

Talking to everyone you meet about you and your business. Set up at events in your local community. Word of mouth, social media groups and business page.

As we approach  our 38th year in business, I am happy to say 95% of our business is repeat or referral. Be active in the community an join up to two local clubs or organizations or associations; you need to be active so more than two is not a good idea. You need to be a famer, not a hunter. Join a business networking group such as BNI and expand your business contacts by helping others (it works). Be active on social media but be businesslike; ask for Google reviews. Most of all, be good at what you do, word gets around in a hurry now! Of course, have fun and be positive when networking.
