I reach out to my clients who I have not heard from over the past six months or better and see how things are going. I may send them an article that applies to the needs they last had with me. I will also let them know of any upcoming classes or workshops I'm having. By reaching out and touching base, I am able to reestablish a connection and offer my services for now and the beginning of the year. It brings more business as well!
There is a tendency for people to respond to instant messages during the holidays (e.g. Thanksgiving, Christmas, Memorial Day, 4th of July, etc.)
I believe it is because they have a little down time and replying to a short message it no big deal if what you offer is of any interest or intrigue to them.
Many that are interested will suggest that you speak or get together right after the holiday.
Our business has ebbs and flows throughout the year, and interestingly enough starting on Black Friday through until mid January is one of our busiest times of the year. We see the influx of northern clients returning to our area and this increases business as opposed to the lull of the summer months. However, due to what our company does, that being computer repair and custom builds, Black Friday and into mid January are great months for us simply because customers are always wanting new tech or to beef up what they have, so we are more than happy to help.
That's a great question: do already have a loyalty program? What about coupons that are good for one year for X amount of $$'s spent (with limitations of course? Depending on your business, you can host workshops, go live twice a week giving the audience tips and building an audience for future growth. There are so many ways to drum up business even with the year closing. Hope these tips help.
All ideas here are good. I would just add doing a physical direct mail promotion instead of email. The response is a lot higher especially if you include a promotion or call to action of some kind. Note, don't let efficiency be at the expense of effectiveness. It is better to do a more compelling piece to a smaller targeted audience then a cheap mass media mailing to a large audience. Move suspects to prospects by creating interest in your offering
To get new customers you need word of mouth from past or currant customers to tell others of how they like or enjoy what you do. Word of mouth is the best and cheapest ways to get other clients.
We have a lot of different solutions that business owners use to get more business such as Social Media, Search Engine Marketing, Internet Yellow Pages, and more.
