Eating right, hands down. I'm educated enough to know what to eat and what not to eat, but sometimes I lack the time and/or motivation to put in that extra effort to do it (e.g. cooking instead of takeout). I feel guilty every time I eat something I shouldn't. For me, it's about just staying healthy long-term and enjoying a good quality of life later in life and not having health problems because I ate badly. I have the metabolism of a hummingbird so it's not about weight control. It's about treating my body like a temple and not littering it with sugar, MSG, trans fats, etc.

Too many people don't think about what they put in their mouth, as long as something stops the hunger so they can concentrate on work. I was just as guilty about that. I found the solution, and am trying to help others find their solution. My youngest daughter had cancer a couple years ago, and she refused chemo and/or radiation, due to her research on those "normal" therapies. She had surgery to remove the cancer, and changed her eating habits. She also added a lot of supplements. It was costing a lot, but what cost do you put on your health or on your life? The problem she found, through research, was that the supplements weren't what they claimed to be, and she was wasting her money. She found the solution, dropped the majority of the supplements, and is saving money and getting better. She's been cancer free for 2 years now. We're told what we need to eat to stay healthy or return to health, but who has the time? I found the solution to that too!

First step is to know your health profile. Until you get that done with a doctor, you will be guessing as what to do. Everyone is different. What work for you will not work for someone else. Set up a routine that fits you and practice it.

We find that having the right tools always helps to balance today's lifestyle. (1) Now that technology has intruded on our lives to make them more simple (ha!) the EMF's from smart meters, cell phones and wireless devices may be affecting us, and we need to find moments of clarity and purity. So an EMF purifier could help. (2) We have to wear multiple hats: employee, mother, wife, sister. And within each niche, sometimes we have to be daughter and now caregiver to parents as well as children... with parents having health challenges that are maintained but not "fixed." So the stress really gets to you. So having ways to hit the "delete button" are a challenge. So try massages, acupressure, hot tub soaks, salt room therapy, saunas. (3) For those with traumatic stress, there are therapies like hypnosis, past life regression, Access Consciousness BARS. (4) And the rat race that we find our selves in sometimes leaves out the part that we need....hope, careful goal-setting, down time. So make sure that you actually set some time aside to do these things as well.

A healthy lifestyle takes planning, just like a vacation does. And a healthy lifestyle includes good food, local food, organic food, and raw food; and keep moving. Because a healthy body is a body in motion.

Be well!

Finding the RIGHT balance for developing exercise and balanced eating habits. I exercise every single day, sometimes hard and fast, others slow and more methodical. My biggest challenge is the eating, I get better and better each year but it does become a struggle with the temptations of eating bad food on a daily basis. I use to eat extremely terrible in my teens, in my 30's I'm far wiser but every now and then I fall off the wagon and eat fast food like my life depended on it. It's really about finding the best ways to make yourself happy and channel it into YOUR lifestyle and how YOU make the best of it.

As a certified clinical nutritionist, I know what it takes to eat a clean, healthy diet, and. for the most part, I love that lifestyle. The biggest challenge is when I'm super hungry and a basket of freshly-baked bread is plopped on to the table. The smell and look of that bread makes it so hard for me to refrain. Its almost painful sometimes!! After nearly 7 years of being gluten-free, that's the one temptation that shakes my reslove!

Our body and inner voice, always, tell us what is healthy for us, and what isn't. Taking time to ourselves to truly pay attention can be so challenging! We have all these things coming at us - emails, voice mails, texts, business and family demands, how we've been trained, our regular thought patterns. As Bill said, there's a place for medical professionals, for sure. You also want to know your own body, how you feel within it, and what drives your authentic nature, the voice you came here to share. What I call the Godwalk (although you certainly don't need to use the word "God" - I have no particular religious affiliation) is one of the best ways I know to have a healthy life balance.

Finding the time to workout and have a social life. Lately the social life has been happening alot more then the workout thanks to stress.
