What social platforms have given your business the best engagement? What industry are you in?

Honestly, the platform is irrelevant. What actually matters is how much you are willing to use the platform.

I have personally had success with Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Reddit, and Clubhouse (and those last two prove my theory--there's money EVERYWHERE). And they work because I've been willing to invest the time into them. I'm the world's worst photographer, thus, no Instagram. Why should I spend my time on a platform that isn't built for me?

In the end, what it comes down to is, if you don't like your marketing, how am I supposed to? If you gotta be on a platform you hate, outsource it. Otherwise, market in the places where YOU want to be.

I have found success with promoting my plant-based anti-aging hair, skin, and wellness products.  I have broadcasted live on social media platforms such as Facebook Live as well as on Stories, Reels, and IGTV all (Instagram.) I have been hosting live workouts (Coronaerobics) on Facebook Live publicly since 3/15/2020.  Building a sense of community has been vital especially during the pandemic.  My team has blossomed abundantly in the past year,  I have welcomed men and women to my team who are unemployed, underemployed, and unhappily employed.  The happy messages I have received from my partners are priceless💯  If I can help you jumpstart your next career, please do not hesitate to ask!  Feel free to take the hair, skin, and wellness quizzes on my website:  karenfiorillo.mymonat.com or if you prefer to email [email address] or text 610-761-092, please feel free to do so!  I am also available to teleconference if you prefer to do so!

Thanks for your feedback!

Pew Research Center does a TON of analysis on the demographics of each social media platform. The more you know about your customers, the easier it is to know where to engage with your people (and how to do it). One of the best ways to start is by asking existing customers where they hang out and be there. When I work with clients we target 1-2 key social media channels.

I'm in the digital marketing industry. My company, Women Conquer Business, has found the most success on Pinterest (women are our target market) and LinkedIn (fits our profile as well).  We do have an omnichannel approach but focus most of our time in those two places. We also take advantage of every possible business listing like Google My Business, Yelp, etc., so we're easier to find, in general.

Working for a Digital Marketing Agency I have noticed that Facebook, Instagram, and Google My Business have been the best for us! Facebook is great for connecting with your local community, as you can join local groups and meet other businesses in your area. Instagram is great for reaching people outside of your community. Google My Business is great for helping people find your business in your local area.

I would also suggest trying out Pinterest for your business! Although we do not have one for justQ Solutions, a few of our clients do and they are doing great!

Linkedin has been really helpful for my business. Using it with AI is especially helpful as it can be very time consuming. I used www.evyai.com as my LinkedIn assistant to send custom connection requests with AI and to reply to POSTS leaving great comments and even to create posts. Hope this helps!

Regarding social platforms, Facebook & Instagram have amazing ways to target.  This is one of the ways we help businesses acquire new customers who are online.  Social platforms are not the only thing to think about, but they can be very effective, especially in conjunction with a competitive Google plan.

As you can see from the variety of answers here, there is no "one right platform" for everyone. I noticed one person posted that you should be where you want to be. I would add to that, you need to also be where your audience is. If you're not a photographer, but your audience is on IG, make sure to figure out how to get active on IG and find a way to make it fun and engaging for you! (BTW... IG isn't all about AMAZING photography. Knowing how to use a platform goes far beyond simply associating it with its basic function.)

At Rogue, we have clients who find all their success on Facebook and others who are killing it on IG or LinkedIn. We have others who have some on each platform and still others for whom social media isn't very important. (These are rare.)  Don't waste all your time trying to figure it out only to sacrifice spending time on the thing you love to do and are best at. If managing and strategizing social media isn't in your wheelhouse, make sure you have someone who understands social media STRATEGY looking out for your brand.
