B that is why I’ve been around for 20year in the telecom industry. Client support is key to success.

I like a system that addresses the needs of my business and is at a reasonable price and a company that provides good services and support.

The first and foremost things should be reliability. I tell customers all of the time. You don't mind changing your computers every 3 to 5 years. A phone system should last at least 10 years and not be maxed out or obsolete when installed. Price then features. Face it,  most phone systems these days are capable of much more than your average customer will ever use.

I would chose one that has a complete service.

Feature, reliability, affordability and quality standout.  Service, of course, is paramount with many mid size and smaller companies providing better than the big box companies.

Are you dealing with an agent of a big provider or are you dealing with the provider directly?  Will your SMB business be lost with a large provider?  Will the one size fits all approach by the large providers give you what you need?  Stay independent from your internet provider.
