With so many CBD products flooding the market, how do you know which products to choose?
Exposing poorly produced with sub-par ingredients along with educating the public on TRUE, PURE, CLEAN products is the goal of this question.

You want to look for products that are manufactured in the USA in a registered GMP facility. GMP stands for Good Manufacturing Practices and refers to a system of manufacturing practices that are regulated by the U.S. government and guarantees the reproducibility of product quality to verifiable specifications.
This means that the federal government has verified that you’re getting what you’re paying for because they have confirmed that what’s on our labels is in our products.
You want to make sure the CBD is made from NON-GMO, PESTICIDE FREE, CO2 Extracted Hemp Oil using only organic ingredients.
The products are manufactured in a cruelty-free facility. No animal testing or abuse is utilized. This is a big issue, especially in the skin care industry where you are seeing CBD added to skin care products to enhance how they work.
The CBD uses only the best, highest quality, purest organic Hemp and they don't use any high heat processing that reduces the potency or efficacy of the CBD.
The CBD Oil is a combination of both the CBD Isolate (or Extract) along with the Full Spectrum Whole Plant Hemp Oil. This gives us a much higher potency of CBD Oil while maintaining the over 120 other cannabinoids, all of which have additional healing benefits.
There are more than 400 phytonutrients that exist in hemp plants. Proper extraction technology allows us to extract all of these nutrients, without using any heat or harmful solvents. The result is a whole food with exceptional nutritional qualities, and much more efficient skin and pet care products.
In my search, I found one company with CBD products, where you're getting the highest quality, purest CBD, plus over 400 other nutrients, in a naturally synergistic, easy-to-use and easy-to-absorb form. You can purchase their products wholesale by creating a free shop as a customer account and if you love their products like I do they have a referral system to earn some income from them.

I look for sourcing, transparency in production, and education. If you are looking for how to differentiate your product in a rapidly crowding market, focus on who you are serving. Your list of businesses on your page is really, really, really broad. I get it, becasue CBD helps sooooooo many different conditions. But you gotta focus and narrow down to keep yourself from getting lost in the mix. All of these different "ideal customers" have very different concerns, behaviors, and language. I would pick one specific group to focus on and go ALL IN with one customer type, while hitting the specific points that differentiate you.
True/Clean/Pure are nice words, but they don't touch any emotional benefits (i.e. Pure, which means it isn't contaminated with toxic pesticides, which means you're not poisoning yourself while trying to heal, which means you can finally trust your medicine and heal your depression/arthritis/whatever). People make decisions based on emotions. So zero in on the emotional benefits of your product and connect that with the concerns of your ideal customer.
Terrific Question! Often doing a little research and making sure to understand what should and should not be in your CBD can be the key to knowing which product to choose. It is so important to read labels carefully remembering If you have questions, make sure you ask a trusted adviser.
Here are a few but very important points to remember when looking for quality CBD.
There are a couple of ways to ensure the greatest benefit – make sure to choose a tincture that offers the greatest bioavailability possible. The most effective way to do this is by opting for a product utilizing an important technology known as L.E.T. L.E T. stands for Liposomal Encapsulation Technology and it allows for the CBD to go directly to the targeted area where the body needs it most. This manufacturing process will set the various CBD companies and their products apart from one another.
Moreover, CBD’s Are only as good as what they are suspended in. Refresh from Biology 101 – CBD’s are lipids. They cannot be suspended in a water soluble without changing the molecular structure. So, it only stands to reason companies would use fat/glycerin as a carrier for the cannabidiol.
STOP THIS MADNESS!! A soluble such as glycerin, MCT OIL (Medium Chain Triglyceride) and other fatty oils can and will exacerbate patient symptoms.
Patient diagnosis such as Diabetes, Cancer, Gene Mutation, Epilepsy and other seizure disorders have cells that thrive on fat and sugar, and allow them to split and divide on a much stronger and faster level. LOOK FOR CBD PRODUCTS THAT ARE SUSPENDED IN PURE PROTEIN. This will ensure safe dosing for any patient regardless of dietary restrictions.
Beware of the LABELING. For example, “Product contains 500 mg” 500 mg of WHAT? Look for specificity on ingredients. If it doesn’t say “500 mg of PURE CBD” chances are you are getting 500mg of cannabinoid NOT cannabidiol which is what the patients seek as the medicinal part of the cannabis plant.
Further, Beware of flavor artifice! Companies want to SELL, SELL, SELL and some at no matter to the patient. Beware of products that have artificial flavoring extracted from alcohol like cinnamon or peppermint. The burning sensation under the tongue does not allow the patient to sustain tincture under the tongue for maximum benefit. This hinders the benefit to patients and in the long run becomes more costly to the patient. Look for a product that is ALL NATURAL. NO ARTIFICAL FLAVORING OR SWEETENERS! (Vegan friendly is best.)
Another point to remember is the EXTRACTION REACTION. Find a company that spares no expense for clean extraction (like critical CO2 extraction). Many companies use ALCOHOL, BUTANE, ETHER, EVERCLEAR and other harsh chemicals to extract the maximum CBD for the least amount of money. These trace amounts of chemicals may remain in the products. Ask how much ETHER in your system is too much?

My criteria for top quality CBD products includes:
- Organic (and ideally directly grown by the company)
- Full-spectrum
- Hemp-derived
- Extracted without the use of harsh chemical or solvents (i.e. CO2 and molecular distillation) with full transparency about how the products were made
- Third-party tested
- Infused into an organic carrier oil (coconut, olive, cacao, hemp seed, etc.) which can enhance absorption
Hope that helps!
I do my research online for each ingredient, also reviews play a big part in my decision.
I work with one consultant of CBDs, and I coach a few clients around wellness, meditation and pain mangement. I often have meaningful conversations about CBD products. I think a lot of people provided great answers.
I find that there is a huge potential for many products on the market to be low quality or unbeneficial. From poor ingredients to how product is manufactured, to where it's from, to outright lies. Another issue is that people don't understand there are hundreds of CBDs and they do different things or treat different conditions. What I have read so far is that you want as many canabinoids (CBDs, CBGs, and CBNs) as possible in your medicine. Many manufacturers only talk about one or two CBDs and/or CBNs in the product. Knoweldge is key. The more you know and can educate others, the better. But, its a challenge.
As Jeff said, I agree that targeting a specific condition and client segment, and becoming a subject matter expert in that area will benefit your business.
As far as the knowing a good product, since I coach businesses and clients in this area, I had to learn a lot more about it. Here is what I understand you should look for:
1) Where did the product come from?
2) How was the product grown? Is it certified organic?
3) Is it from the USA and tested? Not every country tests or have quality standards.
4) What plant was used? Plant, strain and genetics of the plant matters!
5) How was it extracted/produced? (this is really improtant because a lot of key properties (canabinoids) are or could be lost in processing)
6) There are studies that show depending on what you are treating you want to make sure the product has as many different canabinoids as possible because they work together.
Since I consluted in pharama for many years (regulatory, clinical studies, documentation, pharmacoviligence) I recommend ensuring the manufacturer follows GxP (as mentioned earlier; GMP, GCP, GlP, GDP).
I would ask the following questions:
1. Is it legal in all 50 states
2. Is it US grown and processed
3. Are the labs FDA approved
4. Is it non-gmo
5. No pesticides used
6. 100% organic (no fillers)
7. 30 day empty bottle money back guarentee
8. Ships to over 200 countries, the UK and europe
9. Access to trained staff and health coaches to answer question
10. Offers CBD oil for pets
11. Offers other related CBD products
12. offers an opportunity for you to make residual income
13. does it ship to other countries including the UK and Europe (International shippers have to meet much more stringent quality and legal requirements)
14. Do they offer access to heath coaches

I conduct careful research seeking passionate, small, organic producers who make a product that is both unique and well-priced. I want my client to not only feel the efficacy but be delighted with the product.
