Word of mouth has always been a great way to get the word out. Just letting the people close to me know that i needed help was a great way to spread the word. The same with client referrals - nothing beats a happyclientthat can share a positive experience with you. Today both are just as important as they were when I started the business over 20 years ago.
About 10 years back, Craigslist (when it was free) was an incredible source of leads. Now it's $5 to post, but depending on your business and target market, you might get a better ROI than using PPC with Google or Facebook.
Covid got me into online networking. The trick is to finding one with the right referral partners. Most of these groups are overloaded with people that only want to sell. One particular group, Epic Networking, has been a huge source for clients and referrals for me
