For example his service for "Syndicated Content for Social Media and Search Engine Optimization" is beyond any expectation for which a business could ask. Can you imagine writing stellar content that uses specific words for which Search Engines track, and the changing it over and over for different sites while keeping those key words? Well, that is just what Dave Miles does! But what if you want a video? Well, Dave Miles does that, as well. We all know that visual sells, but many of us are afraid to do a video with all the keywords in it, as well! This is just what Dave Miles does, as well. If you have a marketing need, Dave Miles has a solution for it. That is what his business is all about. If you have a business, marketing has to be right up there with product development, because creating the product is only your first step. You need a good marketing program to get your product in front of your buyers...and you want the best, so that is Dave. I've known him for about 10 years now, and his marketing methods work! "

First of all, write a press release and send it to all the publications in your area and industry publications that might also be interested (such as if you are a professional in a particular industry and your book relates to that industry). Get yourself invited to speak about the topic of your book at every event or organization you can think of, plus library and school (elementary, middle school, high school, and college) tours can be a very important part of your marketing plan. It isn't important to make money on these events, if they are in your geographic area. If your book is distributed to the big bookstores or if you can get people to ask the bookseller to stock your book, you can do a book signing at the bookstore. By the same token, you can find smaller independent booksellers to stock your book and host a book signing event for you. What is often an easier path is to gain readers online. You can teach a course that complements your book, do a podcast on the topic of your book and invite others to be interviewed by you. To begin a podcast, record about 5 before you upload them. Be consistent. Do a new podcast every week. Frequent blogs on the topic of your book and post comments. Get yourself invited to participate in online courses that other people in your field are hosting. Get yourself invited to be interviewed for podcasts, television, and radio talk shows. To boil it down to one thing: get yourself out into the public eye any way you can. Promoting your book is where the real work comes into play. The easier part is always getting the book published, even if that seemed like a long and arduous process! Promoting your book may not be an easy task, but it can be very rewarding. If you can travel to promote your book, try to book as many events as you can, and then publish your schedule and where you will be appearing. Do the same for your virtual tour, as well! (more) Hi Hedda, The best way to answer you is to ask about your target audience. Where will you find them? It's all well and good to post on Facebook and buy ads, etc., but if your audience isn't hanging out there, it does zero to help you. You can actually search Facebook for dog owners to see how many people are showing up there. The same can be said of the Internet, as well. What that might do is to give you an idea where these people are hanging out. Pick one social media that you feel comfortable with and try to use it consistently. When you have become a pro at that, you might try other social media outlets like Pentarist, Instagram, or Twitter. It is hard to know where to begin, I believe that Facebook is a good place to begin for most businesses, because so many different people and businesses are there. I've even used ads to a degree. However what works for one business may not work for another. It really boils down to how well you can find leads on the platform you are using. Connie Dunn Publish with Connie
