A lot will depend on "Why?" they're rebranding and "Who?" the target market is. If it's a change in services or products, or updating a name or logo, those won't take as long. If you consistently get the message and image out there with a good amount of frequency, then people should start catching on within 3-6 months. A combination of audio & visual advertising works well to get that message out there. If you have good frequency already going, then quickly get the new information out there and why it would benefit the consumer. If the frequency is more of a maintenance plan, I would at least double it to really heighten awareness and get your new info top-of-mind in consumers heads. Make sure website information is up-to-date, too, because people will look online for more information and details. Testimonials are a great asset, too.
If a company has bought out a business, that's going to take longer (6-12 months), especially if the original business has a good reputation. You want to again have good consistent frequency, incorporating the new name and new owners with the previous name. Every 2-3 months, adjust the prominence of the old name with the new name. As the quarters go by, the new name should be more prominent with maybe a mention of the former. By the 3rd or 4th quarter, you should be able to just have the new name, etc. and people will be familiar with it and trust should have been built. Then it's up to you to keep some consistent messages out there so you continue to build on what you've started.
If a company bought out a business that may have had some negatives... then the sooner you can get New Owners/Management... out there and how it's improved, the conscientious service, great products, how consumers lives will be better because they've done business with you, etc. the better! Increased frequency in advertising (inviting people in) and super-serving customers will be necessary to overcome old stigmas and build up loyal repeat customers and referrals. Once the new information has been established and accepted, then continue with a plan that keeps people informed and the company top-of-mind. Don't assume that people will always remember. You always want to keep inviting people in to experience what you have for them...otherwise, your competition may be inviting them.

With everything that's going on, it's key to figure out where your most likely customers are going to be coming from, have a budget set for the amount of growth you want, and then use media that targets those areas where your customers and prospects are. You'll also want to get across how your product/service will benefit them and how you'll stand out from other providers. People also want to be reassured that you are going the extra mile to keep everyone safe at your place (customers & staff). Utilize your online resources, but also get the message TO them through media that gets out where the customers are. Radio is an excellent avenue for reaching your market, building trust, getting your vital information across and being timely, since you can change your message pretty quickly. Radio can also get that frequent message across cost effectively and works well with other media. Radio will help drive people to your website or social media because they hear about you and want to find out more information. It should be a main tool in your marketing tool box to help build that solid marketing foundation.

The public wants to know "what's in it for them", so make sure you let them know the benefits of your services in any advertising you do. You don't want to get into the practice of always having a special event or discount. Know your value and get that across. Once they find out how you can help them, let them know who you are, how to find you (location, phone #, website) ... and if you have any testimonials from previous customers, those are a huge asset in your marketing. A blend of regular media and social media are good avenues to reach potential customers. Use the regular media to drive them to search you online for more details. Make sure that your website is professional looking as well. A bad website will stop prospects in their tracks.

Depending on what your product or service is, you need to consider who will need or want what you have to sell, who will be buying that product or service (in case a family member is making decisions for the user), who will have the resources to make those buying decisions, how far are people willing to come, how often would they need your product/service, and if there are certain age groups that are a better target than others. Once you've narrowed down your customer base, choose the marketing media/tools that will help reach those potential customers on a regular basis. On average 3-4% of consumers are "now" buyers, the rest are at different stages: so you're sowing seeds, watering, nurturing, growing and finally bearing fruit ... when they commit to buying from you. Return business will come from their experience with your company. Satisfied customers will come back and have favorable testimonials, referring others.

To reach local consumers, radio is one of the best ways to go. Not only can you build awareness of your business, but radio is Word-of-Mouth that you can control. You can let people know about your products & services in a positive way, build name recognition & trust ... so when they need or want your product/service, they'll think of you. You can even do your own recording, so it has a more personal touch and stands out. In this era, it has become essential to have a presence on the Internet, too. Radio is also a GREAT way to let people know about your web page or website. Consumers want to know more about you, see what your expertise is in, check for basic information (i.e. location, hours, contact info, etc.), product lines, testimonials ... many times before they even cross through your door or call. People do their homework, so it's detrimental to have a good, informative, user-friendly, professional looking website. If you do any local print, find publications with a longer shelf-life and/or content that gives the opportunity for viewers to look more than one time/day. You can work your media around each other, too. When the audio & visual elements work together, awareness & impact are increased ... giving you a more effective campaign. A lot will depend on your budget and your target audience. Find which avenues will reach your target market and then do those well. Too many businesses have tried "a little here ... a little there ..." changing media mid-stream for too short of a program to be effective ... spraying and praying. Most campaigns are not an overnight success. You're building relationships that you hope will last for a long time, sometimes generations. It takes some time to build that marketing bridge with the consumer, and then they need reminded that you're there ... ready to help them. A good media rep will help you with your content, because they want you to succeed and grow, too!

Radio commercials that would inform consumers about the benefits of your supplements could help. Testimonials of how they have helped other customers are also impactful. Balance your radio with an informative website that commercials could "drive" people to find out more about you and give them a visual of your business. The radio station may also have websites that you could get a display ad with a click-thru to your own for additional reach.

Here are some questions you can ask yourself: Why do you ask her so many questions? Are they to keep tabs on what she's doing ... or is it so you understand what it is and why she's doing it that way? There's a difference between our generations. We like to know the what and why, they just want the how and trust me. My own children get tired of my explanations or wanting to know more about why they made certain decisions. If you feel you two ARE a "Dynamic Duo" then you need to let her know that. Being valued as an integral part of something big is important. Often they feel used or unappreciated, much like we do. If the tech end is her strength, then give her room to do it. What would you do if she weren't your daughter? How would you treat her in this position? Let her know you would like to be kept in the loop, in case it's something that you would have to handle when she's not there. Family relationships do add another dimension, but letting her know she's loved and has enough room to stretch her wings and fly can make the difference. Developing a trusted partner will help take some of the stress off of yourself and reinforce the bond when she's at a place of wanting your input on important matters.

Dear Terrified - Do you feel called to what you're doing or are you doing it because that is what you know? I fully understand the "fear of man" feelings that can stall you, because I wrestled with it year's ago. Are you confident in what you have to sell? Do you believe that it will help whoever would buy it? If you don't believe in what you're selling, it will translate to the customer. I prayed about what to do and how to overcome fear. I went through various positions, each one building my confidence and God helped me realize that I needed to just be myself... that people would like me for who I am, that I'm there to help them not just sell them something. Fear has been overcome and now I have lots of genuine relationships that we're working together to fill their needs and solve problems with the products/services I have to offer.
Hi, Corey - This almost reminds of a woman's boutique. You may want to go with a simpler logo that maybe incorporates something patriotic so it gets across the connection with Veterans and appeals to men & women. The name doesn't really say what you do, so having a slogan with it could also help...

Hi, Corey - This almost reminds of a woman's boutique. You may want to go with a simpler logo that maybe incorporates something patriotic so it gets across the connection with Veterans and appeals to men & women. The name doesn't really say what you do, so having a slogan with it could also help with any marketing bridges. Hope this helps.
