About Us

The award-winning Camp Run-A-Mutt™ is the premier cage free dog daycare and boarding paradise! Our indoor/outdoor camp is beautiful (see for yourself on our Muttcams), fun, safe and supervised 24/7. Camp Run-A-Mutt™ Gainesville features over 11,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor play area for your dog to romp, play and socialize to their heart's content! Watch your camper online as they run on the spacious grassy area, cool off in the custom waterfall/splashpond, relax on the sun deck or under the cooling misters on a hot day. We also offer dog washing, grooming, boutique, obedience training and surprises you’ll find only at Camp Run-A-Mutt™. Your pup will love it, and so will you.

It's not just the amenities that make us unique. Camp Run-A-Mutt™ is also 100% cage-free for both daycare and overnight boarding. Your pup will receive exceptional care by our well-trained, attentive staff who are certified in pet CPR and first aid. Overnight Campers enjoy the security of a caring human in the same room while they snooze. Our goal is to make boarding fun by minimizing the stress and anxiety some dogs experience when they are away from home. “Pack boarding” instead of cages, human love instead of being alone, it’s a no brainer.

How We Got Started

Husband and wife team Brandi Ormerod and Michael Siblik have always loved dogs. Brandi grew up in Cobourg, ON and pursued a career in academic research – focused upon animal cognition – that took her to Kingston, ON, Vancouver, BC, Palo Alto, CA and finally to Gainesville, FL. Brandi’s beloved husky/lab cross Jasper made the trek with her from Vancouver to Palo Alto and finally to Gainesville. Brandi and Jasper quickly fell in love with Gainesville but discovered that Gainesville needed an amazing place for dogs to play, socialize and stay when their parents go away.

Michael grew up in Bolingbrook, IL and has a corporate background in customer service, accounts receivable, operations management and land/air logistics. Michael joined Brandi and Jasper in Gainesville several years ago. In 2018, Michael and Brandi decided to combine their love for dogs with their respective expertises to open Camp Run-A-Mutt, Gainesville. They knew it was the kind of paradise that Jasper would have loved

What I mean by this is - according to the rule, If a business opens the first quarter of 2020 they need to show a decrease in gross receipts in any quarter of 2020 relative to Q1 (its very first quarter in business).

Pet Services - Facebook has given us the best engagement. We also run a radio ad but nobody has said that they come in because of it. We also are situated at a roundabout on a busy street - that's our best advertisement! (more) Pet Services - Facebook has given us the best engagement. How is a brand new business going to show a decrease in gross receipts from their VERY FIRST quarter in business relative to any other quarter in 2020? We had a massive decrease in Q2 gross receipts relative to Q4, but in our very first quarter in business we were building clientele. The SBA needs to develop a fairer qualification for PPP Loan money for brand new small businesses.
