All the answers below I agree with 100%. Ideally if bringing your child to a chiropractor they have extra training and experience in treating a child of that age, as well as the particular condition (e.g. special needs, Downs....infant vs adolescent) because children are not just miniature adults... Ideally if bringing your child to a chiropractor they have extra training and experience in treating a child of that age, as well as the particular condition (e.g. special needs, Downs....infant vs adolescent) because children are not just miniature adults and there are situations where caring for them is very different than caring for an adult.

Cavitation occurs when a joint is taken into its paraphysiologic space causing  nitrogen in the joint to come out of solution into a gas. This ends up causing the joint space to be wider for the next 20-30 minutes allowing for increased ranges of motion and the ligaments that support the joint... This ends up causing the joint space to be wider for the next 20-30 minutes allowing for increased ranges of motion and the ligaments that support the joint are influenced by that increased range of motion to heal with it in the newer more moveable position
