Ideally if bringing your child to a chiropractor they have extra training and experience in treating a child of that age, as well as the particular condition (e.g. special needs, Downs....infant vs adolescent) because children are not just miniature adults...

Cavitation occurs when a joint is taken into its paraphysiologic space causing nitrogen in the joint to come out of solution into a gas. This ends up causing the joint space to be wider for the next 20-30 minutes allowing for increased ranges of motion and the ligaments that support the joint...
