I have a client that has Quick Books and wants to know what other software piece is available that could compete with it that are not so fee driven. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I have had good experience with Wave and Zoho Books with the latter having a very robust set of features.

I have used Zoho Books for several years, and have found it to be every bit as robust as QBO at about half the cost. It's the market leader in Europe and Australia for good reason and even does currency transaction exchanges for those that do business abroad. It's a great alternative for most small and mid-sized businesses that don't need a full-time in-house role.
