I tell everyone the same thing, have at least 6 months worth of money to cover your personal bills rent; mortgage; gas and electric etc. That way the stress of bills won't be on your mind so you can focus on your start up business.

I use hand sanitizer before and after each service call. I wear gloves and mask in customers homes. I wipe everything down with sanitizer wipes after use. My call rate has dropped from 4 to 5 calls a day to 4 or 5 calls a week, but I know that God is in control of this and it will end when He...

The only advertising I do is The Sheppard Guide( A Christian Yellow Page Book) I have been in business since 1976 and did a lot of yellow page ads, but now with repeat customers and word of mouth I don't need any more yet.

After working for all the major Appliance Brands, I wanted to start my own business to help others and to be my own boss. I wanted the freedom to do as I thought was best for my customers and myself, not having to do what others thought was best. So in 1976 I left my job with a major Appliance Company and went out on my own. The first year and a half was the hardest, but after that it has been the best move I have ever made.My advice to anyone who wants to go into business is to put away enough money to pay the major expenses for at least six (6) months so the headache of meeting those bills won't hurt your start up.
