Last summer, Drones Club West, my new independent writing academy and service, opened with two month-long writing workshops for advanced writers with pieces in progress. We had a blast, and we got a ton of work done. We've also had a couple of stunning success stories coming out of those workshops, including the sale of one novel started in our classes to Harper Collins.
Over the last six months, I've been making plans and getting prepped. And now...and for the foreseeable future...the Drones Club is open!
Here are my current offerings, based largely on input from current newsletter recipients:
Summer 2021
Manuscript coaching/editing
Have a project you need one-on-one help with? I'm your Drone. We'll determine hours and cost together once you detail your project to me. I'm taking on up to three projects depending on size, so let me know ASAP if this appeals to you,
Fall 2021
Zoom Weekly Workshops
I will be offering one or possibly two eight-week, once-a-week Zoom workshops (time TBA, depending on participants' schedules), most likely running mid-September to Thanksgiving.
NB: These workshops can be advanced, MFA-style experiences for writers already in the midst of stories or projects, or they can be get-back-into-it/skills-and-exercises workshops. Whichever fills first, that's what I'll do.
Manuscript coaching/editing slots likely will also be available during this time.
