Question: I got a PPP loan of $12,385 through Wells Fargo (May 5). I have not applied for forgiveness yet because of a question I have about contract workers. Over the past 10 years I have had the help 3 very part-time individuals who work for me from their homes "on demand". They have no other income than this, and none of them got a PPP loan. I cannot afford to have them as staff (either PT or FT). For tax purposes, they each receive a 1099 from me. Each month I pay (in total to all 3) around $1,000-$1,500 for their help. Can I get PPP forgiveness for these people who are so necessary to helping my business function?

Teaching students and youth the value of "information interviewing" with individuals who have real-life experiences, no matter their career. Books about particular jobs and/or careers are good, but conversing with someone - and listening to how they have ended up where they are right now - is incomparable to simply reading about a "job". Careers are now a pathway and journey, not a one-stop destination. Careers need to be explored in that context. Besides... I heard today's millennials will change careers at least 7 times in their lifetimes.
