About Us
The Carriage House has been in Ascension Parish for over 25 years. Set on 16 acres of private property we are an inclusive venue for special events such as Weddings, Company Parties, Picnics, Retreat and Training Space. We are always available for questions and information 225-647-6517 or you can also text us for info at 225-907-3800 you will get a quicker response. Venue tours are by scheduled appointments only. After 5:00 appointments can be scheduled.

So I am a caterer who owns the venue,no outside caterers are allowed. Its a little different for us. For a while there I had everyone asking for tastings, oh such and such does it......I did a few and it turned into dinner for the family and no bookings. So my solution was we only do tastings for our booked couples if they need help deciding on changes they may want to make to their menu. It is done with only the foods we have available at the time of tasting. They get a short list of what is available and they chose three, the tasting is for the contract holder and 1 guests. Normally the Bride and Groom. I do very few, we have been in business for 26 years so that right there is normally the proof in the pudding.
Since you are capturing the couples memories of this one day that can not be duplicated, capturing the essence of the venue is important. For us we are set on 16 aces of land and have a gazebo where most of our ceremonies are held. So capturing the space before, during and after is important....

Since you are capturing the couples memories of this one day that can not be duplicated, capturing the essence of the venue is important. For us we are set on 16 aces of land and have a gazebo where most of our ceremonies are held. So capturing the space before, during and after is important. The emotion of the day is most easily captured in video so although the venue is the backdrop how they felt in each area is the important part. Anticipation in the Bridesroom getting ready, the grooms face as she enters the ceremony space, the love in their first dance, the playfulness as they feed each other cake. The fun the crowd has as they dance and the expressions on the faces of their families as the night unfolds. The venue is the backdrop for all of this emotion, getting the shots of it all set up before it begins is probably most important because the bride rarely gets to see that beforehand.
There are companies and people who are in the same business as I am however we do similar things they are not my completion. I am in completion with no one I work from a place of love and service and I love what I do and it shows. So how do I get noticed? Just be me!
