About Us

I create images for business and organizations who want their stuff to look dang good. Images that show off your business/organization, what the do and the incredible things they offer is my specialty.

My home base is Gooding, Idaho and I love it when clients come back to me, excited about how great their images look. When they can't wait to share the pictures, I have done my job well!

If you are looking for someone to create images for your business or organization, I'd love to work with you too!

When I'm not creating beautiful images I can be found...

*Camping in the Sawtooth Mountains
*Hiking
*Running children to different 4-H activities
*Indulging in an audiobook (usually while running children to 4-H)

If you are dying to know more, here are 3 things most people don't know about me...

I went through 3 hips surgeries before the age of 5 to build me a stable hip socket.

I've seen the British comedy "Hot Fuzz" more times than I can count, and I still love it!

Coffee helps me sleep. My husband and I usually have a nightly cup before we go to bed.

Want to learn more about how we can collaborate together?

Here is your next move:
Send me an email or give me a call with the information about what you need photographed and the days and times work best for a face-to-face meeting!

Thank you for getting to know me better.

I have never had an insurance agent with better communication! "

It takes time to learn the camera. It takes time to learn composition. It takes time to learn lighting. Then within each type of photography there is a sill set that has to be developed. Product phphotograph has some very different skill sets as compared to family photography. Then each photographer has a style and and editing flow. One thing the average consumer need to know when hiring a photographer, CHECK OUT THEIR PORTFOLIO FIRST. If you don't like their best work [portfolio], then keep looking. Some people are only looking at cost, or asking Facebook groups who they recommend. While asking for recommendations is valid, don't blindly hire off cost or recommendation. There are people who do want quality.

You have gotten some great feedback on the text heaviness. I would like to add to that, get professional headshots. The ones you have are either really grainy, overly softened or have some funky light. While they are fine to share with friends and family, they are not a positive professional representation of the staff. Have them all done by the same photographer so there is consistency between the images.  Before contacting a photographer, look at their portfolio first to make sure that you like their work. That will let know what type of images they will deliver.  If you don't like their images DO NOT  hire them, keep looking for someone who fits you.

Networking takes time. People/business need to know and trust you before they recommend you. There needs to be an opportunity for that person/business to recommend you. Just exchanging business cards isn't networking. You have to continue to grow and develop that relationship. (more) Networking takes time. I have not put an AD in a newspaper, but the scope of whos sees it is much too broad for my services.  I have been considering putting an AD in a local magazine. The target market for that publication fits my target market better. Without any obligation, she explained out current (at the time) coverage to us. She really listened to what we needed and asked questions to make sure our coverage was tailored to what we needed. There were some things the other agency was "cheaper" with. However, with our new agent  I know if I have a question or concern it will be addressed swiftly with kindness. If we need to make a change to a policy it will be handled promptly. Paying her more it worth it!

As a commercial photographer, I want to meet with my clients before we even start shooting. I want to see the location, meet with the staff (if they are part of the image or will be around as I'm working), but mostly because I can gauge what the client needs better in a face-to-face setting.  (more) As a commercial photographer, I want to meet with my clients before we even start shooting. Then if the people who follow your page are not liking and sharing your content new people are not being exposed to what you post.  All your posts on Facebook are just sharing the product, they are not engaging the viewers of the post.  Ask the questions, like which fabric do you like better. Show them behind the scenes, and more bag details. What other advertising options are you considering?  I took a look around your website. You can help make the experience better for people who do land on your page by having a consistent look to your images, ironing out wrinkles before photographing them and adding some images that show details of the bag (stitching, inside the back, closeup of fabric pattern, etc.)  Also, the banner at the bottom is blocking the ability to use the social media links.

If you are using the image for commercial use* then you must contact the owner of the image and get permission/and a commercial use license to use it. The license to use it may come with a fee. The image creator will want to know where it will be used, how it will be used and for how long it will be used. All of that information factors into the cost of creating and image and licensing it after it has been made. You can be sued for using the image commercially and not having permission and/or a license from the owner to do so. If the image involves people, especially child and the photographer does not have a model and/or crowd release you could also be paying damages to the people in the image. *Commercial use: use for business; using the image to directly or indirectly make a profit, build and/or maintain clients/customers
