The first challenge is making sure everyone understands the priorities. For the most part I remind individuals to map out their 'big rocks' each week and day, and stay in quadrant 2 as much as possible. As you can tell I am a big fan of "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People". Even in a virtual environment, this book/concept is still extremely valuable. The habits keep everyone focused on the clients and on their own mental health. The personal mapping is critical for people who are new to the virtual environment.
The second challenge is more of a personal one. This is in regards to coordinating meetings with clients in different timezones. It may sound little, but being on the clock at 6am (MST) for a 8am (EST) meeting and then switching gears for a Pacific timezone client can get a little scattered somedays.
