Why stop at $15.00 Why not $30.00/$50.00 Why are we trying to manufacture what a living wage is.
The market should always decide on what wages are to be paid. The free market works best, when you allow the free market to work. Wages are a means of rewarding production and skills. Every industry has different skills to perform the work required for the task being performed. The wages paid are commensurate to the skill required. Being a Carpenter requires training to perform the task required for that skill. Cleaning an office does require the same skill or training that a Carpenter has. Being a Brain Surgeon requires more training and skills than a Carpenter. The list goes on. Again what's fair?
Wages should always be based on the free market.
