About Us

In March 2017, I had no idea what HTML or coding was. I had heard of coding but was wanting to understand just what that meant and what I could do with this “coding” skill. I was at a point where my career could shift and I wanted to take advantage of my given opportunity. So I started searching online and found some online school programs that taught computer coding. I came across Skillcrush and they had a free boot camp program which gave me a great overview. Low and behold, I knew coding! I learned it minimally in school when we designed websites, only we just learned enough to troubleshoot and fix the errors in Dreamweaver. I remember enjoying solving the puzzles in the code, but alas we were in design school, and design was our focus. So in 2017 I began advancing my understanding and skills through self-taught online resources. This includes W3 Schools, Mozilla Developer Network, Udemy, and Skillcrush.

So far I mostly worked with HTML5 and CSS. I learned how to use Git, GitHub, and iTerm (Command Line) and next, I am working to learn JavaScript, Responsive Websites and WordPress. I have designed a template-based site on Shopify for a client and have been writing up some custom HTML email signatures on the side by request. I have done some SEO studying and look forward to learning more on that topic along with some more in-depth training on UI & UX design. I’m really looking forward to learning WordPress coding so that I can work on helping clients with designs for their eCommerce sites!

I want to collaborate with a studio(s)/organization(s) that are creative and love to be unique by coding their design ideas for themselves and their clients. I love the design and I really love to see a well-designed idea come to life. By taking my education in design and working in code I can get a wonderful perspective on understanding where your creative concept is leading and work with you to code those ideas for the world to see. I am a firm believer in that you can never be done learning and I love to research and further my skills whenever I can. I have a few years under my belt of working remotely for a large organization on project work and also for myself the last couple of years. I am a neat and highly organized individual with a high level of professionalism while still keeping work fun and exciting. I can work on my own and also relish brainstorming with a team on creative concepts and problem-solving.

How We Got Started

I’m Kim Pascoe

I’m a small-town Designer-Developer and I live in rural West Michigan. My family and I returned back to MI in the fall of 2014, after spending a little over 6 years working & raising a family in Lincoln, Nebraska. My ambition is to expand on my knowledge and Bachelor ’s degree in Visual Communication and to advance my career in web development.
Also, to find a way to live as close to nature as possible!

P.S.

We tend to be out in raw nature as much as possible as soon as it gets warm in these parts! I love taking my hobby with abstract photography and seeing what others are seeing through their viewfinders! Hit me up on Social Media and show me what you're up to!

Many more people are running their businesses out of their homes now and or working remotely. I think it depends on if your business would have much face to face time with its customers. As far as security, cameras and such. I live right in our the city limits of our small town and businesses have cameras everywhere.
