It is the agent, not the Company that will do the transaction. There are competent agents in both. Big Box Brokerages usually take a big cut of the real estate commission, I first started with a Big Box Brokerage because of the great training, but I was asked once by a client: If you can't even negotiate your own commission, giving away about a third of it, what confidence do I have that you will be able to negotiate properly for me? But if you are a brand new agent, you should go with a company that offers good training, and that usually is a Big Box Brokerage.
