About Us

My name is Brian, and I’m proud to serve the Northern Colorado community with the same dedication and integrity that have guided me for decades. As a long-time Greeley resident of over 40 years, I’ve cultivated deep roots in this area. My journey has taken me through a wealth of professional experiences that now allow me to deliver exceptional home inspection services tailored to this unique region.

After graduating from Aims Community College and attending the University of Northern Colorado, I served in the United States Air Force, where I developed discipline and a commitment to excellence that I carry into every inspection. My career has spanned construction, property management, retail business, insurance inspections for underwriters, and investment properties. Each of these roles has enriched my understanding of buildings and infrastructure, giving me a comprehensive perspective on property conditions and functionality.

For over 20 years, I have professionally inspected residential and commercial properties in Greeley and beyond as a Certified Professional Inspector. In 2011, I earned the Board Certified Master Inspector designation, the highest distinction in the field, recognizing my commitment to excellence and advanced expertise. I am also a licensed real estate broker in Colorado and a licensed radon measurement professional, providing an additional layer of insight into property assessments.

Beyond inspections, I serve on the Construction Trades Advisory and Appeals Board in Greeley, contributing my expertise to help shape local building standards. I am also proud to be an on-call instructor for the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI) at their headquarters in Boulder, where I help train the next generation of inspectors.

One of the hallmarks of my business is independence. I am not affiliated with any real estate agencies, builders, or corporations. This ensures that my inspections are always unbiased and centered on what matters most: your interests. As the sole owner and operator of Front Range Home Inspections, I take pride in providing clear, thorough, and honest evaluations tailored to each client’s needs.

Now semi-retired, I am selective about the inspections I take on, focusing on opportunities where my knowledge and experience can make the greatest impact. I’ve designed my services to cater to those seeking a trusted expert who values integrity, transparency, and personalized attention. Whether you’re moving to Northern Colorado or buying or selling property in the area, you can count on me for professional, detailed reports, competitive fees, and timely service.

Thank you for considering Front Range Home Inspections. I’m here to ensure your property decisions are informed and confident. Give me a call—I’d be honored to assist you.

A buyer's home inspection is by far the most requested by my clients. 11-month warranty inspections have been very popular this year. The ancillary services most requested would be Radon testing and sewer scope inspections, mold testing once in a while. (more) Receiving a 1-star review on Google is not something any business owner wants to experience. It can be frustrating and disheartening, especially if the review is unwarranted or unfair. However, in some cases, a negative review can actually be a good thing. This was the case for me when I received a 1-star review from a disgruntled seller for my home inspection services. The review came as a surprise to me, as I had never had any issues with the seller during the inspection process. However, upon reading the review, I could see that the seller was upset because I had found several issues with the property that needed to be addressed. Despite the fact that my job as a home inspector is to identify any issues with the property, the seller seemed to take it personally and left me a negative review. At first, I was worried that this negative review would hurt my business. After all, potential clients often rely on reviews to determine whether or not to hire a particular service provider. However, to my surprise, the opposite happened. A few clients reached out to me after seeing the negative review and were impressed with my response. Rather than getting defensive or ignoring the review, I responded to the seller in a calm and professional manner. I thanked them for their feedback and explained that my job as a home inspector is to identify any issues with the property, regardless of who is selling it. I also offered to discuss the issues with them further and provide any additional information or clarification they needed. My response resonated with several potential clients who told me that they appreciated the way I handled the situation. They said it showed that I was professional, honest, and not afraid to do my job, even if it meant upsetting a seller. In fact, several of these clients ended up hiring me for their own home inspections. This experience taught me that a negative review doesn't always have to be a bad thing. While it's never pleasant to receive criticism, responding to it in a professional and respectful way can actually work in your favor. By handling the situation with grace, you can show potential clients that you are a trustworthy and reliable service provider who takes their job seriously. Of course, this doesn't mean that you should go looking for negative reviews or ignore legitimate concerns from clients. It's important to take all feedback seriously and use it as an opportunity to improve your services. However, if you do receive a negative review, don't panic. Take a deep breath, respond in a professional manner, and use it as an opportunity to show potential clients why they should choose your services.

I have made it 20 years simply by word of mouth, 37 google reviews (less than 2 a year starting with a 1 star from a bad person 8 years ago and still published) I had an inspector I was mentoring who had no experience and no inspections performed but 75- 5 star reviews on day one when he started.... I do not like his dishonest approach but it has worked for him. Sadly a lot of dishonest people do well. I sleep well and am content making an honest living.

Seeing as I make about 0.1% of the home sale price per transaction, and I am a major factor in most transactions, I might lean toward being a realtor and make 30 times more. I usually spend about 3 hours on site and have the client meet me for the last hour for the summary and walk through. After all the clients questions are answered, I go back and write up the report and have it out by that evening.
