I always ask my clients if they would like to reschedule. I also like to take that time to tell them when I would like to see them return and give them a personalized treatment plan. Clients like to be invited back and don’t always know how often to get their massages. (more) I always ask my clients if they would like to reschedule. Many countries accept massage therapy as healthcare, while many Americans see it as a luxury item.  Also, you can get an hour massage for $6 American in some Asian countries, that is less than 10% of what I have to charge to earn a living. It is a lot more affordable there. My clients come back to me because I listen and focus on exactly what they need. I don’t charge for different techniques. So, if I feel my client would benefit from hot towels, hot bamboo, cupping, deep tissue, stretching, I speak to them about it and work within their limits. I never do anything without telling the client first. I taught massage therapy for years and listening is the number one trick I told all of my students.
