About Us

I specialize in working with entrepreneurs and high-level professionals to improve relationships, eliminate depression/anxiety and reduce overall stress level. My parents had their own business from the time I was 9 years old, so the entrepreneurial mindset is one I am familiar with both as an observer and practitioner. I have been in business for myself for over 15 years, and also worked in a corporate environment for 5 years. My clients learn to design a life so that relationships, work, and life goals balance out. I take a straightforward, no-nonsense approach -- think Tony Robbins or Dr. Phil. The idea is not to keep you in therapy forever, but to quickly take your life to the next level of happiness and success. Clients see a noticeable shift in function, outlook, and mood within 4-6 weeks. This therapy cuts through all the BS and gets results, and is specially tailored with the high-level professionals' needs in mind.

How We Got Started

I was a weird kid who read The Seth Material, Nice Girls Do, and was interested in self-improvement and how to achieve success. I always preferred non-fiction books and was keen to understand how people make the choices they do in their lives. On my Facebook business page, there is a video entitled "My Toughest Client Ever," which outlines my journey into counseling. A diagnosis is important, but does not define the client. I wanted to be the kind of counselor that didn't just work to address anxiety or depression, but wanted to actually teach ways of doing, being, and living that made for a more nuanced, enhanced and optimistic outlook on life.

People pay for results, not therapy.  In the first session, my client and I usually come up with a skill or strategy that can be used "that day" to address what's going on for them -- a quick win is a great way to keep them coming back for more! Definitely look at holistic first -- pharma is okay if you are in a flat spin of trauma and drama, but only as a stop-gap measure and COMBINED with good therapies.   (more) Definitely look at holistic first -- pharma is okay if you are in a flat spin of trauma and drama, but only as a stop-gap measure and COMBINED with good therapies.

So I'm just gonna' say, "What they said," with regard to Abel and Sofi's response.  They are 100% right on the communication front, perspective-taking, and the like.  But I question if keeping all the tech family-based is allowing your business to scale?  What can you out-source such that the daughter's expertise is not spent on menial tech issues?  Are solving the tech issues really the best use of her time?  It sounds like it's time for a virtual assistant, that will allow the both of you to get the creative juices flowing and scale your business to more profitability.  For relatively little monthly investment ($100 a month), you can out-source a lot of tech-related tasks to a VA, and they LOVE doing that stuff.  The added bonuses are that you know it's done right the first time, you don't have to become a tech expert, AND it makes time for more Daddy-Daughter lunches.  Sweet!!
